1st pair of real workboots since the 80's. The fit and leather is amazing. The boots are very comfortable and there was no break in time. Ready to roll. They have held up nicely during a 1 year home remodel. You will need to toss the provided inner sole. It is non-existent and offers no comfort or support. I got a great deal on buying a like-new used pair on the marketplace and boots were never worn. Had I paid full price, another $10.00-$20.00 for a new insole would have been a bummer. I have waterproofed them a couple of times and during a concert campout weekend had to wear them continuously for hours and hours. It was like wearing slippers. Aside from my concern about no arch support (nothing an insole can't fix) I'd like to see how long the soles last in a machine shop, because metal shavings aren't kind to soft soles. But for the style and comfort, the price is fair. These boots came highly recommended by guys my size and damn near 3x my size, so I finally retired my Redwings. I'm happy with this purchase so far. Noticeable difference in comfort on the bottom of your foot. My old boots had insoles in them, but these are still more comfortable right out of the box. The knock I saw review-wise is its durability, so I have yet to test that...but hell with the price and comfort, if they end up lasting me a year I'd be more than satisfied. ... show more

Bought these for work and wear them every day. Great quality, the white sole definitely isn’t white after the first day of wearing them. Other than that no complaints. Very comfortable after you break them in!

I love the loose toe box. I purchase these to replace 3 pair of sole delaminated Keen work boots. I have worn Keen's for over 25 years for their large toe box, but they seem to have cheapened the sole assembly process. I tried on many boots without adequate toe box fit. I have worn these boots everyday for farm / ranch use, and so far they are working great, and the sewn on welt soles is much better for durability. These boots have kept their upper leather flexibility, and have not dried out in weeks of dry desert dust. I have done lots of kneeling to lay trenched piping and to connect irrigation fittings. So far, there has been no leather cracking, scuffing, or delamination and the leather toes have been coated in mud, but after hosing off the mud, the leather is still supple, the dye has not faded, and the leather still looks new. ... show more

I wear these almost everyday for walking, light farmers’ work, light construction and roof walking, pretty much anything except heavy construction. I love them and they are super comfy right out of the box. However, they to run big, like comically huge I’m typically a 9.5 and have a wide foot. The 9.5 wide fit my dad perfectly and he wears an 11. I ended up swapping down to an 8.5 wide and it’s pretty perfect for me. I probably could have even worn an 8 but I’m happy. Maybe the sizing for the wide is less than accurate? I would also prefer if they didn’t put the decorative slits all across the top toe welt. Totally pointless and basically just weakening and ‘distressing’ the welt unnecessarily. ... show more

I looked over many boots before I bought this pair. Not wanting to pay double the price for a wider boot, that last, I thought I would try these. The construction seems to be above average. There are the same little annoying issues you get with any foreign made boot, like the finger tabs on the back are not big enough to actually get your finger into them, but the sewing seems top notch. These boots run very narrow. I bought X-wide, and they are more like size "D", or just wide in higher quality boots. The bottom has small groves that pack the dirt and mud tightly, so be sure to spray them off before going into the house. Overall, I am happy with them.
