I decided to go with this version over the popular wet sandblasting kit in Amazon with the red hose as this has a much longer hose and looked higher quality. This thing a beast and has excellent build quality. I used it on my 4gpm 4200psi pressure washer and it removed 25+ yrs of rust and stains off of stock 96' 4runner rims in seconds without any hangups. The hose is long enough so you can keep the bucket of sand far enough from the work area to prevent clogs from wet sand in the bucket. I used play sand from Lowes and it did what I needed flawlessly without needing a higher abrasive like coal slag. Be sure to keep the hose facing up and on top of the wand while using to avoid water getting into the hose. It's the tool to have if you will be sandblasting a lot and have a solid pressure washer. I ran the unit with 3700 PSI, My relief valve maxed out there. That was 46Hz on the variable speed 10 hp electric washer. So say that’s 8 hp running. I used #36 copper slag, called names like black diamond etc. industry standard media. I did a test run and I got down to white metal. I own a 40 year old commercial sand blasting machine and compared to that, the water blaster is 50% slower, that's ok by me because the commercial machine costs almost $100 per hour in gasoline to run. I changed the 1/4” pipe on the pressure washer wand to a pipe that is about 3” long to prevent arm and wrist fatigue. I have 100s of hours sand blasting experience, I would not recommend using beach sand or play pin sand. Wear good personal protection equipment. B-Rad ... show more

    • Fantastic blaster. Works like a champ.
The media could not be loaded. This is an inexpensive but essential make of my auto restore project. As you can see from the video, it works great. It needs a decently powerful pressure washer - an electric one won’t do the job effectively. I use mine with a 3000psi pressure washer. I was concerned because the description of the blaster says it needs 5000psi. With lower pressure, it doesn’t pull the media as well. It also needs to be held at the right angle to pull properly. I am really pleased with this purchase and recommend it to anyone. ... show more

    • A decent product but pointless.
Does this get the job done? Yes. BUT, one thing I failed to consider is that if you use this on steel it will surface rust immediately. No good for automotive stuff. Secondly, this is absolutely no match for an air sandblaster. You can get a pneumatic blaster from harbor freight for $90, then rent, borrow, or buy a decent sized air compressor. It will be so much faster and you won't have to deal with water or rust. This turned into one of those situations where trying to be thrifty ends up costing more. Product works great with the 4000 psi washer. Tried it with a 3000 and it worked but was very slow but would get light work done. Well made tool and does the job

    • Not very impressed, but...
With nothing similar to compare it to other than a regular, dry sandblaster, its possible I was expecting too much. It works, mess is substantial, and clogs seem unavoidable.
