So two thing right off the bat - they are not blackout. They are room darkening, thick, and lined on one side, so they do provide a good amount of insulation from the hot and cold outside if your doors/windows are prone to drafts. I can already tell there's a big difference from our unlined curtains that we swapped out with these. I like that these don't have a white or black backing either - you can hardly tell they're meant to be insulating, they just look like normal curtains from the outside. The material is soft luxe velour - not so thick that any hand print leaves its mark, but the pile is still thick enough that if you have kids, they're probably going to enjoy brushing the fibers upward to make art. I got the "olive" color and they're not quite as warm green as I had hoped for olive. There were several pictures in the product descriptions, and I gambled on them looking like the first photo in the dark room with a lamp, but they're much closer to the other pictures where it looks more like a deep sage color. In the right lighting, at night with warm lamps, you do get that olive looking color, but in daylight or bright lighting, they look dark sage. They still look lovely, but don't bring in those warm yellow undertones I was hoping for. Nevertheless I liked them enough that I bought another set of panels and decided to swap out the other curtains in my living room to match. I've been looking for new drapes for the last 2 years and holding out for the perfect shade of everything has led me nowhere, so in that sense, these are practically perfect. You get two panels in a package which makes them a pretty good deal for heavier weight curtains. The material hangs nicely and while it does come wrinkled, letting them hang for a couple days has removed most of the curtains and you can steam them on the non-velvet side to get most of the rest of the crinkles out. ... show more

The color (olive green) was perfect. These are also very soft. Although they darken the room they don’t fully block the light. They’re also pretty lightweight if you’re looking for something heavier.

Gorgeous olive green in a room that receives indirect sun during daytime, and is lit with amber coloured lamps in the evening. Olive enhances the warmth of the room and is gorgeous with the mahogany and other earth tones, and other greens, with these being in the mid-range of colour depth. They are low pile velvet with a slight shimmer, soft to the touch. With the grommets and being very lightweight it's easy to pull them to the side, even as long as they are. The media could not be loaded. These blue curtains looks really beautiful. They got some decorations around the edges, and I tried to pull them, but they're tough and didn't tear. They feel soft, which is good. They're not blackout curtains, but they still block some light. You can see in the video I posted how they work. Overall, I like these curtains. They might not be fully blackout curtains, but they look really beautiful and they’re strong. I believe they’re an ok investment. ... show more
