    • Sturdy and flexible; could have better directions and accessories.
My kid loves having this; we used to have the chin-up bar that fits in a doorway, but this is much nicer as it is always available and nice to be able to do more than just chin/pull-ups. It is sturdy and works well for this ~150 lb kid. Assembly was fairly easy although there were some mislabeling of directions and they didn't really say what to do with all the washers. I took my best guess where they went. It works OK with the included wrench, but a drill with the right bit works much faster. The wrenches for the bolts were physically painful for me to use and I imagine those with less than average strength/size/tool experience will find them frustrating to use or may not be able to tighten things well. If you have a few adjustable wrenches, you'll be in better shape. The most frustrating part is the accessories. It is unclear what the small clip-on triangles are for, so they seem useless to us. Worse, they show the elastic cords being used as part of a workout, but the maximum stretch of those are very limited, making them useless for that activity. Maybe a foot or two of stretch and then they stop suddenly. These need to be more stretch, like exercise bands, where you have a more consistent force over a wider range, rather than zero to very high over short distance. ... show more

Putting together was a pain, but once we got it together my wife and I loved it! It has become our go-to for ab days and is a perfect filler between sets with the pull up bar at the top where previously we were having to drag the door bar from the house to the gym area which was a pain.

    • A little difficult to assemble; have your own wrench set, but great otherwise
This was a little difficult to get assembled. The instructions weren't great and the tiny allen wrench that came with it was basically impossible to use. Once I pulled out my own allen wrench set and used it, things went much faster and easier. I was worried about stability, but it's been super stable, even when my kids were "swinging their feet" instead of doing knee curls or leg lifts. Great addition to our in home gym. We are tall and this bar is great for us. Very sturdy. My husband built it pretty quickly but he did complain a bit during the assembly process. I think it's a great product for the price
