  • No issues on a Jeep WJ 4.7 QTII 545RFE
Worked without issue. 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.7l, QuadraTrac II, 545RFE. Be sure to note the seal on the pickup filter - it needs to be installed into the valve body FIRST, and then push the filter into place. If you put it on the filter first, it will not seat in the valve body and you suck some fluid along with a LOT of air foaming your fluid and destroying your trans. The seal will likely need a rat-ta-tap-tap - use a seal or bearing punch that covers the OD of the seal face. Also note these pans did not use a gasket from the factory, they used silicone gasket maker. However, you can use the gasket in lieu of silicone (I did). Save yourself a hassle and use a thin layer of gasket maker, sealant, or even contact cement to hold the gasket to the pan for an easier install. Don't forget to clean the mating surfaces, and torque the 15 pan bolts (16 in some cases - not quite sure where the difference comes from, but I have seen both on the 545). My manual spec'd 140in/lbs. Also I personally only use Mopar fluid. Mopar always wants you to use their fluid with everything, but Mopar trannys are REALLY picky about it. Several times I have had shift quality issues due to foaming from using parts hut and big box store branded trans fluids. Not always, but enough times that I only use Mopar transmission and transfer case fluid in a Mopar. I should also note I have NOT had issue with Lucas trans fluid - it performs just fine with either, or even a mixture of Mopar and Lucas. Good to know, as on the road you may not find Mopar fluid, but you probably will find Lucas. I am sure other fluid work as well, but I have foamed up enough Mopar trannies to not want to gamble anymore. I'll always use Mopar at fluid changes, but have no issue adding Lucas to top off in a pinch.... ... show more

  • Every thing good except spin on filter
Everything worked good except the spin on filter. It didn’t fit so I had to buy one from a parts store so basically added another $20 to the cost of my fluid change. I used the rubber gasket and have not had any leaks so far.

  • Great value for wix filters
Wix is the best bar none. Fits 68RFE replaced a Baldwin filter, but with my truck I don’t trust any other name to beat OEM. I wish wix sold more online but if you have a compatible transmission for the filter can’t go wrong. They give you the piece that goes on the neck and into the transmission straw. Don’t know the terms it seated perfects ... show more

  • Wix Transmission Filter Set 58843
This was a perfect fit for my 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 Lt Power Tech HO With a auto 5-45RFE transmission quadra-drive 4x4 it is for a deep pan. After you have pan drained (mine has no drain plug :) do this slowly, at the best clear angle for draining, make sure you have 1 or more lg containers, mine drained 9 qts. also cardboard under. unscrew the side more you want it to drain to, when slows, unscrew more but must loosen all a bit so you don't bend pan lip, support pan with one hand and remove screws. The more you drain before having to remove pan, the better) let drain, wipe off, then remove filters. Make sure you remove the primary oil filter seal in oil pump Inlet bore (flat screwdriver or hook to catch inside lip crosswise and pop/pull out) wipe off inside, then coat new seal a bit and up where it goes with tranny fluid for ease of install, then reinstall making sure it goes in straight(seat with a socket that fits and rubber mallet) THEN, install the primary filter. Do not install the seal and the primary filter together, unless you want leaking. tighten the primary filter to 40 inch pounds, the cooler filter to 125 inch pounds. Don't forget to clean the pan out well and remember to put the magnet back, set gasket on pan align with holes, use a couple screws at different ends to keep in place, hand tighten a bit, install other screws, making sure gasket is where needed then tighten in starish pattern to 105 inch pounds.( approx. 10 ft lbs) ... show more

  • OEM equivalent
I purchased this transmission kit for my 2011 ram 2500 68rfe. This was a direct OEM replacement as the OEM filters have known to have problems I paired this with a metal filter screw on filter instead of the plastic. This kit maintained for well over 75k miles on the next transmission oil change. The oil was very clean and free of debris. ... show more

  • A new lease on life for my Dodge Dakota
The transmission in my Dakota started to overheat and often stall my engine at idle. From my searches it sounded like bad valve bodies or torque converter issue. I hoped for the best, planned for the worst and gave this filter kit a chance. At over a half million miles i did not want to put too much into repairs, but now with both filters changed and some fresh fluid the overheating and stalling is gone. If only there was an affordable way to reverse the body and frame rust, but at least my truck is still usable and running strong. ... show more

  • Neither filter fit my 07 Durango
Like many people had said, the screw filter did not fit and the flat filter also was not correct. After I fought with to get the screw filter on and the other filter, I couldn't get the pan back on. So I took everything back off and saw the new filter was different from old filter. Went to Advance Auto and got correct parts and I was able to install them with ease. So before you install your new parts, take a minute to make sure they are the same. But this should be explained a lot better on the page cause it is a very big issue. ... show more
