The hardware works good. The controllers are cheap but will be fine for this set. The provided HDMI extender is useful since the dongle is wide and can cover other ports on the back if the TV. Software wise, there are lots and lots of retro games. I got this for my nephew as a gift and he really loves it, him and his dad play it constantly. The controls work good and my brother said they had no problems getting it setup and working. Their are a lot of games and for a small kid it more than enough to keep him interested. They have it plugged into a 55in flat screen and it looks good, not had any issues when playing so far.
