In our house we have a toddler who eats at the breakfast bar, my short 5’2” self, and my husband who is 6’. Buying a set height stool was odd for me due to the different body heights of everyone that would use these stools. All the way up fits my toddler perfectly at the bar, about half way fits me perfectly and alittle lower fits my husband perfectly. It being adjustable is huge plus for our family obviously. It swivels to help my toddler get up and down easier. They are fairly light weight for me to put up when not in use to prevent my child from hurting himself climbing. Only DOWNSIDE I’d say is the padding on the seat isn’t very thick. I’ve been using these for almost 2 months now and you can see on the seat where the 4 screws go in from the bottom. They don’t poke through the seat! Just where you can see the metal plate below the thin padding where it stops the screws from the bottom. Other than that I love these bar stools and they make a great addition for our small family to eat somewhere that isn’t our huge dinning room table. I recommend these to my friends who are looking for good barstools but don’t want a set height. ... show more

Really liking these so far! They were easy to assemble and look really nice at our kitchen island. I like the all black base over the chrome most of these types of stools have. They're very comfortable and seem sturdy. Because of the lower price point, I do worry about the quality of the seat upholstery and how long that will last - but again, at a price like this we don't expect them to last forever, and they'll do just fine for now. I will say - they came with quite a strong chemical smell, but it wore off after a few days. All in all, if you can tolerate the smell for a few days and don't require them to last forever, these stools are a great option! ... show more
