On days I'm feeling lazy and I don't want to truly do my eyebrows, this tinted gel is a lifesaver! It's vegan and cruelty free, the color matches my eyebrows great and it's so fast! I'll definitely continue using this.

This comes in an outer product box. It is made in China. It is vegan and certified cruelty free. The ingredients are listed on the box. I tend to go for precise, small tipped brow pencils. But, I also like tinted brow gels. I feel like they give me the slightly filled in look that I like without looking like too much. I have a hard time getting the shade for me. I have medium to dark brown hair. My brows are like a muted black color. Whenever I get brown brow products, even the dark brown ones, they tend to be way too warm and don’t look right in my brows. When it comes to brow pencils, I’ve found the best luck with charcoal, dark grey, and black shades. But, I haven’t had the same luck with tinted brow gels. For some reason the black colors are usually just too dark for me and I feel my brows look weird and too dark. Because of that, I’ve been using clear brow gels. But, am still on the hunt for a tinted brow gel that works for me. This one actually seems to work for me! This has a really small spoolie tip applicator. I LOVE it! A lot of brow gels will have spoolie applicators that are just too big. They’ll go outside by brow as I’m trying to apply it, so then I have to wipe product off my skin. But, this spoolie tip is perfect. It allows you to get your brows nicely without going outside of your brows. It isn’t scratchy or harsh feeling either. I got the shade “Universal Black.” I don’t think this is totally black. It definitely appears a little like a really dark brown. But, it’s not warm, so I don’t mind it. You can do a light application and your brows will look fuller and more filled in while also staying in place, or you can do a heavier application to really darken and fill in your brows. I prefer a lighter application, but like that you can do either. The formula of the gel is good. It isn’t one that dries immediately, so you have time to brush it through your brows and even it out. I like that! It does dry down and stay in place once it does, but it takes a minute to dry down completely and set in place. I don’t mind that since it gives me time to work with it. Overall, I think this is a great brow gel! It gives you time to work but then sets in place and lasts all day. The color is good. This Winky Lux Brow Tint, Universal Black, comes in a mascara type tube with a smaller mascara type wand. I get my hair and brows dyed dark brown to match my natural shade hair and brow color. My brows stayed dark until recent years, unlike my hair that prematurely grayed 30 years ago. While not as full as they used to be and I’d be happy if they were thicker, color is my main issue with my brows. Anyway, I recently got this Winky Lux brow tint to use in between getting my brows colored as sometimes the gray starts to come through a week or so before my appointment and I just wanted to be able to hide the gray as needed. The black shade is dark but blends in pretty well with my brow color. It’s a smidge darker than I’d prefer, but my lashes are black too and I think the brown shade looks too light (but I haven’t tried it). I’m new to brow makeup, but the wand is easy to use. It deposits color well and gives some separation. The results look pretty natural, but I’m careful to keep the application light. I tried it heavier and think my brows looked too dark and heavy. I do like that the gel tint adds some extra fullness and gray coverage. I haven’t had any issues of smudging or flaking, and my brows don’t feel or look stiff when dry. Like it. 4 stars.     • Works Great, Ingredients Could Be A Little Better

I like this better than brow pencils. The look is much more natural while still providing definition & oomph. The color lasts all day. It doesn't flake or travel. I run my own Eco farm full time, so I think this says a lot. BUT it's not summer yet, so time will tell when I'm soaked in sweat in 90+ degree heat under the full sun. The wand is very small so no brushing areas you don't want to. I ordered the "Universal Black" color. I don't have black hair. More of a dark brown. I'm middle aged & started to grey at age 19. I color my hair using pure henna, so all those greys are a beautiful auburn color. Even with the auburn highlights, the black on my brows looks fine. I am curious as to how the brown would have been. Maybe next time. Washing off is no different from washing off any of my eye makeup. I put some oil (jojoba, coconut, olive, etc. any work) on my fingertips, massage into my brows (& eyes), look like a Viking warrior woman, lather my hands with organic bar soap from Running Bug Farm, massage the soap lather over my entire face with my hands, rinse with warm water, apply my current lotion/cream after drying my face. Easy peasy. The only thing I'm not crazy about with this brand is some of the ingredients. I looked most of them up (except for ingredients such as Candelilla Wax) at the Environmental Working Groups (EWG) Skin Deep Data Base. The following ingredients while not horrible, could be better: Cyclopentasiloxane (3 - yellow) Propylene Glycol (3 - yellow) Titanium Dioxide (3 - yellow) Phenoxyethanol (4 - yellow) 1-3 (green) equals the safest ingredients. ..my 6 dollar waterproof covergirl.. Its got a softer finish, bit its not waterproof And smudge proof..and its way more expensive.. i can only use on days where im not workin hard and wont be sweatin.. 👁👁👁
