  • Worked very well for me.
I had very good results from this product. I began with a star-shaped cracked area about .75" in diameter. The longest crack was about .5" long. The only thing which concerned me about the quality of my kit was that the syringe didn't have the screw-on style tip on it, and instead relied on simple friction holding it in the plastic mount. While it wouldn't be an issue during the suction portion of the repair, I was concerned that it would lose pressure or possibly even shoot itself out of the mount during the pressurization portion of the repair. Well, the syringe actually stayed in place - much to my surprise. The finished repair was as advertised - the cracks are now barely visible, and the small shattered area was filled in very nicely by the resin. I believe the repair should hold up and, most importantly, keep the cracks from spreading. Follow the directions, don't rush the repair job, and give this product a try. Considering that you're looking at several hundred dollars to replace a windshield, it's very worthwhile to at least attempt this fix. That in mind, it's not a miracle product - don't expect perfection, but instead think of it as a good wager at putting off replacing that windshield for a while. ... show more

  • Kit works great
I bought this not expecting much, but was willing to chance it since I only had a few small rock pecks. I fixed 4 pecks on my car today and 2 on my wife’s car and only used one of the container of epoxy. Wish I had taken before and after pictures since only one on each car didn’t turn out perfect. I did straighten the suction cups in hot water because I used them, but as well as they held I don’t think it mattered much and I would recommend for small pecks, chips etc. ... show more

  • Amazing repair results!!!
I had my doubts about this or any windshield repair product but was amazed when this completely eliminated the angel wing chip in my wife's windshield. I might post an after picture but you wouldn't see anything because the repair is undetectable. I regret not taking before photos or making a video, but I really didn't think it would work as well as it did. A few tips: 1. Repair it as soon as possible and make sure there is no dirt or water in the crack. 2. Turn on your windshield defroster to moderately warm/hot especially if it's cold out. This will help thin the resin and help it flow all the way into the cracks. 3. Line the hole in the suction cup device directly over the point of impact. This is very important and you might have to readjust it several times. Double-check it from the inside of the vehicle. 4. Make sure the suction device is very snug against the windshield. 5. Make sure you use plenty of resin. You can clean it up. Add more if you need to. 6. I didn't scrape the excess off at a 90° angle as they suggest. I used more of a 45° angle with a slicing type of motion. This left me with a completely smooth repair! After you go through all of the steps there might still be a small blemish, especially right at the point of impact, or you might have accidentally scraped some resin out of the repair. No problem, just put a drop or two on the area and put the clear curing strip over it and repeat the finishing steps. That's what I had to do. Some final things. Make sure the area is very clan before you start. I used a bottle of 90% isopropyl alcohol and a lint free cloth. Lastly, make sure you're curing in direct sunlight (even on a cold day) and give it extra time to cure, just to be sure. I hope this helps, because this product was truly amazing. ... show more

  • Worked well, but not flawlessly
Color: YELLOW
Overall, it yielded good results. There were, however, a few things that didn't go quite according to plan: 1. When attaching the resin chamber to the base (the suction cupped piece), it isn't obvious how much to screw it in. You're supposed to screw in until the silicon tip contacts the windshield, plus a little more to get a good seal. It's hard to tell how much to force that...but obviously not enough to pop off a suction cup. 2. Even after backing off on that, my suction cups didn't stay firmly attached - despite me pressing down on them for over a minute. I ended up needing to continue pressing down on the ones that came detached while squeezing the resin into the crack. 3. The resin bottle has a little bulb at the top to hold the cap on. I cut that off (like you'd cut off the tip of a tube of caulk). There were no instructions telling me to do this; I just couldn't get anything out of the tube until I did. 4. The instructions say to add 3 or 4 drops of resin. When I did that, I think 0 went into the chamber and glass. In my 2nd try, I put in 7-10, which resulted in resin running down the windshield when I released the assembly after the squeeze process. Thankfully it wiped up easily. (I recommend having some paper towel or rag handy!). I'd say 6 or 7 drops is probably about right. 5. It was also not clear how much pressure to apply with the pressure rod. I just guessed. All that said, my first attempt was a total fail (no resin left the chamber), and my second attempt was a solid success. The curing in sunlight and clean-up processes worked perfectly, and I can barely see where the crack was. (It was small to begin with, about the size of a pea, but with some gouging of glass.) ... show more

  • With patience you can be successful
With patience you can be successful, if you are careful and use as directed the kit will work . Don't try to repair a chip larger that a dime for best results. Work in a garage out of direct sunlight until you are ready to cure the epoxy. Have the windshield warm, use a heat gun to slightly warm the area on the inside during the vacuum operation to help the fluid flow and extract air bubbles also gently tap the glass with finger tips at this step to help move bubbles from the damaged spot.. The last step use the razor blade provided scraping away from the impact hole in all directions, do not scrape across the hole it may pull out the second application of epoxy. Leave in direct sunlight to cure. Follow all directions. Good Luck ... show more
