    • Used this on the top of my 3rd Gen 4runner as a cheaper version of the K9 platform.
K9 platforms are extremely expensive and although overall a better product (full roof and attaches to the roof channels rather than roof rack). However this platform is extremely well-made. 4 aluminum sides and cross pieces. Hi quality plastic rounded corners with a powder-coated steel corner support to tie the aluminum sides and plastic corners together as one piece. Would I have preferred the corner supports were also made out of aluminum? Yes, but not sure if it was done for strength reasons over aluminum cost reasons. Will monitor for rust. Very happy with it. It's not full roof like the canine and attaches to your roof rack cross members, but is still fairly low profile given how it installs. It's 3/4 or 2/3 roof coverage. For those with a 3rd Gen 4runner with a sun roof it just breaks the plane of the back of the sunroof by an inch or two. ... show more

    • the product is good, problem with delivery
It is well-attached and everything is provided for fastenings. I am satisfied. But the delivery of the heavy item needs to be improved, the plastic covers are broken and Amazon requires a return, which is inconvenient and takes a lot of time.

    • Missing screws. Only way ticket then is return entire rack.
Package was mishandled during transit and a bag of 80 M5 bolts, 80 washers, and screws were missing. I tried to contact seller without success. Only fix was to return entire product in its busted delivery box. Too much of an hassle. Instead, I chose to just order the parts I needed. Overall, rack is mediocre and has steel corner braces that can corrode and very thin, cheap plastic edges on the corners as well. One of these plastic corners was already broken upon delivery. Overall, this is decent roof platform. Lightweighted and seems to be strong to hold 150lbs as stated on the product description. I installed it over the weekend and will see the durability. A few things to point out: 1. the corner plates of the roof platform are not aluminum - they are heavy steel plates. It seems that those plates were well-painted, but we will see how they hold over time. 2. There are some sharp inner corners after the assembly so be careful when you mount it on the roof. 3. The included hex key is too soft so you may not able to complete the installation of all 70+ screws. ... show more

just in case anybody wondering, it doesn't work with Mazda 2021 CX-9 factory crossbar. I like the the build quality and a bit heavy, corner as previous commentor mentioned a bit sharp but no big deal.
