I used this with Roku and happy that it came hdmi cables and I can't wait to try it with my smartphone, we're a family that uses both android and apple and glad to see that its compatible with both and connects with home wifi. It's inexpensive, surprisingly compact and easy to use. We bought it for summer outdoor Covid 19 friendly movie nights for our little family. We put out picnic blankets and lounge chairs, some drinks and snacks and we're good to go. I've included pictures from our end of summer mini dance "party" consisting of me, my husband and toddler. This was after sunset and it's a Lil John music video from YouTube. I wasnt sure if we needed to purchase a screen or not, so far we've projected it onto a few white walls and the photos here are from the tan stucco wall of the backyard and it looks fine. The sound is good, but sort of low, since we have a bluetooth speaker we connect it to that to enhance the experience. ... show more

UPDATE 1/26/2023: Suddenly does not work on laptops with Win11. It worked fine with laptops on Win10, now two different laptops with Win11 can see the projector as a device, but can't connect or display. Contacting customer support. First off, as of 5/7/2022, if you are trying to activate your warranty online, their website is hacked. DO NOT click any of the popups. Call the number on the warranty card. They'll ask for your (Amazon) order number, name, phone number, and email address so they can send a confirmation. I got an email within 5 minutes of the call, 3-year warranty activated. My primary use is to hang this from the ceiling over my table, aimed down at the tabletop, connected to my laptop, and project digital maps for D&D. Good: - Small, lightweight, comes with all cables you need and a carrying case. Because it is on the ceiling, I had to buy a 25' HDMI cable to reach my laptop. - Wireless and Bluetooth. - Picture is sufficient in a dim room with curtains closed and heavy ambient light. - Relatively quiet with settings adjustment for low/medium/high noise suppression. I enabled those and didn't hear any difference though. - Works with several input methods, including you phone and Chromecast. Con: - Manual focus and keystone adjustment. You'd think in 2022 that would have moved to electronic control. - The extreme edges of the projection are slightly blurry no matter how it's positioned or focused. I spent about a half hour making tiny adjustments to get a good middle ground. - Does not accept Extended Screen (where you can drag a browser off screen to the second display) via WiFi, Bluetooth, or Chromecast - which is what I was hoping to do. A dedicated HDMI cable is required. - Remote doesn't come with batteries, get yourself 2xAA. Even with these cons, they are not deal-breakers and it's still able to do everything my last projector could do. Haven't had to test it during a game yet, I'll update when that happens. ... show more

Early delivery means more time to learn how to operate the projector, but honestly with a little help from my husband we had it working in under 20 minutes. Very good picture and sound, very glad I chose this unit. Update: July 21 2021 Just got back from a five day camping trip with the grandchildren, of course the first two and a half days it rained! We luckily were staying in a small cottage with electricity, the projector was used pretty constantly! Clothesline strung between the bunkbeds, plain white sheet and instant movie theater! I took my hard drive full of movies since no internet in the mountains and the six year old and twelve year old had a good selection to watch. The rain finally stopped, but movie before bedtime continued. Our last night was rain free so we rigged the clothesline outside on the porch. The picture quality was amazing! Clean, sharp, true skin tones, really impressed me. One thing you also should know, I used to own a small movie theater in a small town, so I have a very good idea of how a movie should look on screen! I highly recommend this projector! ... show more

    • It buffers sooooo much :(
I wanted to purchase a projector in lieu of a tv and I made the right decision. It was very easy to setup so I could start enjoying my media. I used the wireless method to connect my phone and laptop to the projector and it works well. Very easy to setup and had no trouble with that at all. I purchased this back in July 2021 and i've had it for at least 6 months. I like the picture quality and it connects to my speakers via the aux cord very nicely. The biggest problem with it is that it buffers so much. Entirely too much. It has gotten to a point where i watch movies and shows downstairs in the living room and not in the comfort of my bedroom where my projector is. I'm not quite sure what is the issue that causes the buffering. Nothing i do seems to work to solve the problem. It will buffer the media playing whether the projector is connected to my laptop or if it is connected to my phone. Whether i'm streaming a movie or listening to Spotify, it will buffer the picture and sound. Sometimes it will play easily without any buffering, but most of the time it does not. Turning it on and off doesn't work sadly. Sometimes, unplugging the power cord and plugging it back in may work, but if you have your projector hooked somewhere like the ceiling, this action would become tedious and annoying very quickly. It is quite sad because this is the only problem it has for me and I am wary of keeping it for any longer and may just purchase a new one. ... show more
