  • fits fred flintstone feet
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
i have been wearing these for a month now and im ready to review I purchased these as a keds type shoe to wear for the summer..keds don't fit me but i like the look with shorts and sometimes you just don't want to wear a running sneaker or sandal sizing - this review is for the widefit whiten which i am grateful for its availability. i wear on average a 7.5or 8 shoe with a 2E width...my foot is very wide with short stubby toes...at the base of the toes - 9.8 cm wide...that's 3.85"...so size wise i'm equivalent to 10 width size 7.5 length...very hard for me to find any kind of shoe. I found these and decided to give them a try and i have to say these are very doable. the size 8 fits my toes with room to spare and i can say that i never realized how nice it is for my toes to just stick out straight without being pinched together. even after a month i still am aware of the freedom my toes feel when i wear these. Fit- over all i would say these fit true to size...i ordered the size based on width, so i went with the 8...lengthwise, they're probably a bit long...not enough to trip over, and when i walk i don't notice it, but the weave is denser along the first inch closest to the seams and when i wiggle my toes the nails hit that boundary which feels weird to me. i just want to be clear that this doesn't impact walking, its only something i notice when i wiggle my toes. On the good side it points to a longer lasting shoe. Width wise the fabric has no stretch so if the shoes fit with a thin sock don't expect to them to stretch out and wear thicker socks...or suffer the consequences. I tried to wear a thick running sock and after 20 min started to get pins and needles and took the socks off. One down side...(minus one star) others have mentioned this and i wholeheartedly agree that the seam at the pinky toe is totally annoying. i notice it when i first put them on and notice it when i am sitting...not so much when i am walking. I think its two fold, one, the seam makes it much thinker and less flexible at that spot and two the edge of the fabric can rub if you have sensitive toes. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. I'm thinking about figuring out if i can iron on a patch to smooth it out but probably wont...seems like a lot of work for the return of investment. Support - funny that even without any sort of built in support my foot feels well supported. the Sole is flat...i repeat FLAT... but the way the shoe is shaped when i tie the laces my arch feels cradled. Now if you have arch needs these shoes will not give you that kind of support...even so i do feel that my foot is strong and grounded when wearing these. side note and good to knows 1. these wash well...i washed them in cold water and left them to dry overnight...came out looking like new 2. yes the liner will come out with your foot when you take them off... 3. if you are used to a lot of cushioning or this is your first time wearing a "barefoot" shoe, your ankle and feet WILL FEEL SORE for a while. In most cases, and this is what i have realized after watching many videos about the whole concept is that your feet are adjusting to a different more natural way of walking. your toes will be used to propel you forward, your arch will actually hold your foot in place and your ankle will start accommodating for a more natural gate. Your forefoot will hit the ground before your heel as you wear them more...and all of those weakness that sneakers have been adjusting for you will be realized as soreness until you balance out. 4. you might not want to go back to regular shoes...yes, they look like duck feet in comparison, but its not really that bad in reality and the comfort outweighs the look ... show more

  • Feel pretty good!
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
I have Charcot Marie Tooth Disease, so my arches are extremely high, my feet are extra wide, and I have short little hammer toes. I’ve been in denial about needing wide shoes for a long time now, but after dealing with incessant foot pain and more recently, swollen ankles, I did a little research and ordered these. I love them!! The sides of my feet were always in pain from wearing narrow, tight shoes, but I wore these to work today (office job with light walking) and they feel great. With my Vans, my feet felt uncomfortable all day and I would have sharp pains as soon as I took them off. It was very painful to walk around the house. I thought that these soles would be too thin and I would feel it if I stepped on a rock, but that is not a problem. I also love the freedom to wiggle my toes around. I normally wear a 7.5, and that’s what I ordered. I have about half an inch between my big toe and the tip of the shoe, but the other toes do touch the sides. Definitely takes some getting used to being so low to the ground and I feel like I am learning to walk again, but it’s a good feeling and my bad knee didn’t act up today either. The black shoe in the photo is the more comfortable shoe I would wear when my feet or knee were hurting badly. I can’t believe I used to shove my feet in there considering that my toes touch the sides in the new pair. ... show more

  • Best shoes ever
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | Light Grey
I am a barefoot kinda person, I hate shoes so much. I am also autistic so finding good shoes is really hard but these are great, I wear them to my warehouse job where I walk or stand for 9-10hrs a day with no issue. I used to wear brooks running shoes but by the end of the workday my feet could barely hold me up anymore. These do great! I did have some soreness in my heels the first couple of days but with today's shoes having so much padding in the heels and narrow toe boxes you have to basically relearn how to walk/stand properly. My husband also has these and also barefoot running shoes and we cannot go back. He also had to get toe spacers to help his feet get used to them but a lot of his foot/knee problems have been fixed. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Great barefoot minimalist closed toe shoe
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
I've been looking for more affordable barefoot shoes for a while now, and these are exactly what I've been looking for! The toe is wide to allow for the foots natural shape vs what our feet are trained to look like, and they're thin enough on the bottom to allow for more grounding to the earth but still comfortable on the soles. They're not as thin as sandals, but they're still great! The backs of the heel part have extra padding, and they're great. Get your normal shoe size! I thought being "wide" would make them too but, but they fit normal. Lots of room for the toes! I've work them out and about, to the gym, and to work they're so far they're great for all of the above! ... show more

  • Roomy Toe Box
Size: 6 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
These shoes have allowed me to overcome the cramps that I used to get after long days on my feet in other types of shoes. I can walk miles, and stand for hours without an unnatural position for my feet. The wide toe box allows for your toes to spread and grip naturally as if you are barefoot. Since my position requires closed toe shoes, going barefoot, or even wearing moccasins is just not an option. These shoes allow me to meet dress code, yet remain extremely comfortable. Huge bonus is the durability. After weeks of constant wear, you cannot detect any wear pattern on the soles or insoles. I believe these shoes are going to last me a long, long time. ... show more
