  • Not for people with bunions
Size: 11 Wide Color: All Black
The shoes fit fine, but I have bunions and it’s too tight on the inside of my foot. I thought with a wider toe box they would be fine, but I feel like I could rip through these in a matter of months. People with normal feet, these shoes would be great.

  • Won't replace your tennis shoes but should still have a place in your shoe collection.
Size: 10 Wide Color: Grey Gum
I was surprised at how much I liked these shoes. It feels like I'm walking barefoot and the first couple of days seemed to work parts of my legs and feet as I could really feel it. My feet feel like they have opened up and I can now notice how cramped my other shoes are. I don't feel like they are as versatile as tennis shoes as I couldn't see myself wearing these in every situation. I also don't feel like they will last as long as a tennis shoe though they seem priced appropriately to offset this. The biggest con I would mention is that I sound like a duck when I walk on hard floors: "Flap...Flap..", the lack of cushion is also felt in the rest of my body but it is no worse than if I were walking barefoot. These won't replace my tennis shoes but I find myself wearing them more and more and I may even be starting to prefer them. This feels like a much more natural way of walking and I feel like I'm giving my feet a bit of a break from all the strenuous things I put them through when wearing them. ... show more

  • Great shoes but bad for hammertoes
Size: 12 Wide Color: W81 Brown
I really like the style, colors and how lightweight these shoes are. I purchased a pair of size 12 in brown they were true to size. The fabric is stretchy and breathable. The reason I returned them was due to the stitching on the front of the shoe as it slants outward over my smallest toe. I have hammertoes and my small toe immediately came in contact with the stitching. Unlike the rest of the fabric over the toe area which would stretch comfortably, the stitching was a different matter. I found another pair of Whitin shoes that I just ordered with the same stretchy material but without the lace stitching. I am really hoping they fit comfortably as I prefer minimalist-style shoes. I just wanted to post this review in case anyone else has issues with shoes due to hammertoes. ... show more

  • Consider these over cross trainer!
Size: 12.5 Wide Color: All Black
This shoe fits the three criteria I expect in a minimal shoe: wide toe box, zero heel, and minimal cushion! Initially I was going to purchase the cross trainer variant, primarily because it had over 16000 reviews, and I generally tend to go after the most popular version. The sneaker variant has significantly less reviews. However, the main complaint I read on the cross trainer review was that the toe box wasn’t wide, even if the shoe offered the zero heel drop. So it wasn’t truly a barefoot shoe. I ended up buying these because they have a wide toe box! As you can see in photo, they look great, plenty of space for my toes. They have a great barefoot feel. Note: I’m still debating if I want to remove the inner sole from this shoe. A comment trend I read about the cross trainers was that the inner sole actually added a slight heel lift, so folks removed it. I haven’t read any reviews or seen evidence in the listing that the sneaker variant has a raise on its sole. If I find that to be the case, I may remove it. If you truly want that minimal shoe, I’d definitely recommend these over the cross trainer! Now granted, these aren’t running shoes, so if you need an athletic shoe, the cross trainer may be the better shoe. But just for everyday wear, you can’t beat these! ... show more

  • Some of my favorite shoes
Size: 12.5 Wide Color: Grey Gum
These are pretty great. For the price you really can’t complain. Comfortable, decent looking. I would give them 5 stars except for the fact that you can see a lot of the glue that’s holding the soles on which I think just shows some problems with assembly, but honestly for the fact that I got them for 30$ I don’t complain about it. ... show more

  • Good alternative.
Size: 10 Wide Color: All Black
I’ve been using the Xero Oswego’s for about three years now so I’m used to using “barefoot” shoes. Unfortunately the quality has gone down significantly since my first pair - the rubber sole just isn’t the same and, since I walk over 10 miles every single day (with a 14lbs pack) I’ve been buying new shoes three times in the last year. The middle of the sole is fine, it’s the edges and toes that can’t take the constant pounding. I decided to find a cheaper alternative and, almost a third of the price…these seemed like a good value for the money if they even last half as long. Just got back from a quick 6.3 miles, no issues so far. I’ll update this review once I’ve worn this first pair out with the total miles, how they do with a quick rinse in the sink vs laundry etc. As it stands right now though, can’t really tell the difference between these and the Oswego’s. 👍 EDIT: So I’ve been using these for two weeks straight now, managed to get 74.3 road miles on regular sidewalks and asphalt roads…lightweight HMG “Elevate 22” pack, just some water and a change of clothes really. Replaced the laces with the black Lock Laces and I’ve never had any socks with these shoes, not even once on accident. I’ve been taking good care of them, brushing them clean with a soft brush and spraying the inside & insoles with Lysol, so I could do a good evaluation of the wear etc. TLDR? I’m sticking with these bad boys and ditching my Oswego’s. Especially for the price I paid, it’s not even close…these ones win that race by a landslide. ... show more

  • Very comfortable
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 Dark Grey
I wear as casual “shoes” to work. They work if you are looking for the barefoot experience - limited support, but comfortable nonetheless.

  • Solid
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 Light Brown Gum
Shoes are comfy, wide toe box, look good. They’re a bit loud as you walk, and the soles pop out if you don’t wear socks and sweat just a bit. Overall happy with purchase.
