Did a lot of review reading for multiple companies. Picked this one based on amount of positive reviews and repeat customers. Was worried about the smell, chose lavender, at first opening the jar it does smell like beef but once you apply it you truly only smell the lavender. I have very dry skin from chlorine and salt water and this actually has made a huge difference in just a week of time. This appears to not be a quick fix but does have immediate results. For reference, I have been making my own soap and oils for years and I know bad oil when I smell it. There was no hint of lavender or anything else. I buy a ton on Amazon and return less than 1%. It is worth the 45-minute drive for me to return this overhyped product. See Below. I have three issues: 1) This is a complete scam. You would be better off using filtered/clarified bacon grease (which is free) and adding a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil and whipping it together. You could also do the same thing with food grade coconut oil- for about $8.00. They charge $50.00 bucks for this nonsense - which I guess makes them smarter than me. 2) One swipe of this product was enough to know this was bad. I don't mean I don't LIKE the smell, I mean it is BAD. Beef tallow has a shelf life of about a year. That is the best case provided it was not exposed to fluctuating temperatures which will reduce shelf life exponentially. I must have received an old batch. Which begs the question why aren't they putting expiration dates on their product? It is an animal product and will not last forever. Shipping old products is not ok. 3) It is unbelievably greasy. Think bacon fat level of greasy. It does not rub in or absorb. Anything you touch with your hands for an hour afterward will leave greasy marks. To include clothing, glasses, paper, etc. TL:DR Even if this particular jar had not been rancid, I would return it. It's overpriced bacon grease hyped as "all-natural" and total BS. Go to the grocery and pick up a jar of coconut oil instead ... show more

I think I’m in love! Pros: a little goes a long way, it’s very emollient and rubs in easily. I put it on before bed and it moisturizes all night long, I wake up with smooth, plump skin. I’m not usually a fan of lavender scented items, but this is very light and pleasant. I’m 45 years old and have pretty nice skin (no blemishes, very few wrinkles), but I am definitely in my “winter skin” stage of the year. After only a few nights of using this, the dry, tight patches are gone! I even put a tiny bit on my chapped lips and they were 10x better the next morning. Cons: none yet! I love the light weight cream. It doesn’t make my skin greasy I’ve been using the cream for a few weeks. I have prurgio nodularis so it will take awhile for me to see results but so far so good. I would definitely recommend

The whipped texture is incredibly light and airy, making it easy and enjoyable to apply. I also love that it’s free from phthalates, parabens, and petrochemicals, so I feel good about what I’m putting on my skin. The balm has really helped with my dry skin, and I appreciate that it’s packed with natural ingredients like vitamins D and E and fatty acids. First off, I appreciate the ingredients and the light lavender smell. I smelled wonderful but subtly so when I put it on. That said, it does cause my face and arms to break out unfortunately. It works alright for a lip balm, so I might consider this product for that if I cannot find a suitable lip balm that does not come in plastic. It does work wonderful for my legs though! Great hydration and no breakouts on my legs. It does leave my skin kinda oily for a couple hours which my husband does not particularly like. I am ambivalent to it myself. For the price I was hoping to have a face moisturizer that would help my adult acne but unfortunately it does not; as such I will look for other products to meet my needs. ... show more
