  • Works great
Easy to use and better than trying to hammer in the pin

  • Works perfect and quick
I removed a straight trigger guard. This tool made quick work of the pins. Much more safe than beating the trigger guard pins with a hammer and punch. Eliminates the possibility of breaking the ear holding the pins. I installed a Velocity trigger guard, which uses screws. I'm sure the install would be just as easy if I had to install a guard with pins. A must have tool for anyone with an AR platform. A little expensive but so is a reciever. Use this tool to make your job quick, eliminate broken receivers, and avoid marks from your punch if it slips. ... show more

  • Stop Breaking Lowers
I'm old school. I have always used my roll pin punches to finish up with the trigger guards. That is until one of the "prongs" on the lower I was building for a client cracked. Considering we're in the biggest shortage (aka a reason to price gouge) of the century- that's a bad thing. Since then, I've been using this tool to install the roll pins on the trigger guard and it works pretty well. It's pretty easy to use for installing as well as taking them off. DO NOT try to go flush with this tool, unless you know how to fix what I call "smiley faces" in the aluminum. Stop a little before the pin is fully in then a few light taps with your punch will flush the pin. If you do go too far, search "aluminum black," and you'll be able to fix scratches and dings on your gun in the future. Happy building ~Salty ... show more

  • Works well enough
This tool works pretty well if you have started the roll pin. As others have mentioned, the rubber piece that protects the finish falls off pretty quickly. I was able to swap out trigger guards easily with it. The tool is a good value, and a much better option than roll pin punch & hammer. That approach takes three hands. ... show more

  • Stubborn pins
Great tool that I would say is a huge time saver for that pin. You don't need to worry about steering off the dog ear nor do you have to worry about stubborn pins. I bought a whole punch set and could not tap out my pin safely so I bought this. The tool made the process quick and you wont go back to punches unless all of your pins are lubed and you have a trigger guard block. ... show more

  • Makes installation and removal easy
Just what I was looking for

  • Simply works great I don't know what other people complain about
Just got tool installed Magpul MOE Trigger Guard in less than five minutes. Oiled roll pin, pushed it out, pushed it back in and done. No damage to tool or lower reciever, not even a scratch on roll pin or lower reciever. Simply works great I don't know what other people complain about. I am a believer in using the right tool for the right job. #1 vise block for lower, #2 gun oil, #3 this tool. I am super OCD and careful so here are some tips. First drops of oil on roll pin, use tool to push out roll pin, start roll pin back into hole with short tool pin and using back end of long roll pin tool slide it through the other side for alignment help, when short roll pin tool gets near the lower receiver stop back up and use the long roll pin pusher tool to finish the job so that the tools threaded piece does not make contact with the receiver and scratch it. Forget pounding and risk breaking tabs on lower this tool works great! $24 is way less than a new lower or scratching it all up. See picture not one mark on lower or roll pin. Awesome! If you can't use this tool or you damage something you are doing something wrong ... show more
