  • It has a good weight to it
I bought this in attempt to remove a small one-inch dent on my Harley Davison motorcycle tank. Keep in mind, Harley Davidson tanks in particular, are made of extremely thick steel. Thicker than any car or aluminum motorcycle tank. This thing did wonders! First off, the slide hammer is heavy-duty. It has a good weight to it, and is extremely easy to use. It doesn't come with any instructions, so just search for some tutorials on Youtube. What you're basically doing is applying hot glue to the end of the little attachments. They come in various sizes. From there, you can either slide the force in one pull, or do light pulls. You will repeat this process until you're happy with the results. It takes time to get the results you want. I'd say this works great for smaller dents. I have not tried it on anything bigger, but I am looking forward to. It does not come with a glue gun, but come with everything else that you need. One thing that also helped was a releasing agent. I just bought some non-acetone nail polish remover to protect my paint. I've attaches some before and after pictures. ... show more

  • Out of the three pullers the slide hammer was the best solution for my repair
I have a plenty of hands experience in the past with time consuming old school body repair and costly auto painting. So I am new to the PDR method of repairing dents and was skeptical of this method. After watching a few videos thought I would give it a shot. I purchased PDR® Car Repair Kit Paintless Dent Repair Tools PDR Kits T-handle Dent Puller Sets and the PDR Glue Puller Hand Lifter PDR Tool - Paintless Dent Repair- PDR Dent Repair Tool along with HiYi PDR 10Pcs Dent Repair Tool Kits Paintless Dent Removal Tap Down Tools Dent Hammer DIY PDR Tools and this slide hammer. My vehicle had one hand size dent in a door and another slightly smaller but much deeper dent/crease around rear quarter near fender well. Out of the three pullers the slide hammer was the best solution for my repair. I figured I would have paid for the tools on my repair and it sounded like a fun project. Out of the three pullers the slide hammer worked the best for deeper dents. Before I ordered I had noticed the aluminum tabs included thinking they may better than the plastic ones. I was dead wrong, strangely enough the plastic tabs work much better holding on to the glue. If I did it all over again I would have just chosen first this slide hammer and second the T-handle puller and third the fancy "Hand lifter". It was nice they included the large black glue sticks. I had purchased extra from Amazon thinking I didn't wont to run-out. I used only 3/4 of a stick. The only negative seems to be a looser fit of the knuckle that holds the tabs on compared to the other PDR tools and the T-bar on the handle came loose several times but was no problem to reset the allan screw and used some Locktight. The repair came out great on the larger dent on my door and you would never know it was ever there. The deeper dent was much more of a challenge and is not perfect but its a dent I can live with and you would have to look hard to see it. The Tap Hammer ordered was delayed. After I receive it I may comment on any further improvements made. ... show more

  • Not a precision tool, but will make your old car markedly less janky
I have a 12-year-old car that has been parked on Chicago streets most of its life... so, the body isn't great. But after the latest hit-and-run it suffered while parked left the driver side door drafty (in winter!) AND looking horrible, I was feeling pretty bummed, as it wasn't worth the investment to get professionally repaired. Anyway, I made a $45 investment in this tool kit and a glue gun, and it really made a difference! It is NOT good as new, but I never expected it would be. I could likely buy another cheap kit to take care of the small dents that remain, but I'll probably quit while I'm ahead. Totally worth the money, though! ... show more

  • Missing the most important part
The puller is missing the end piece that grabs the glue tabs. It is not functional with the parts provided. I want a refund or the missing part sent. What a joke.

  • Worth a try
This kit works as well as any glue-based dent puller can. Traditional hammer dent pullers require you to drill a hole, insert a screw and pull on the screw. Using a glue puller means no holes -- but there's not as much force so it may not be as effective at pulling dents. You mileage may vary but in my case, the puller worked well. It took several attempts and some patience but I expected that. ... show more

  • Easy to use
The media could not be loaded. Pretty easy to use, but requires practice, skill and patience for professional results. Glue bonded best with glue gun set to HIGH temp, glue easily removed with microfiber rag wet with alcohol.

  • Product is junk
I sent this item back and now would like a refund because if you look at the picture I took you can see there is no way to connect the puller to the tab. That is why I sent the first one back and now the replacement is the same. Do not buy this product because it is junk.
