The master bathroom light switch is behind the door. The fan switch is by the door. I've lived here over two years and still am not used to that arrangement. If I have guests, I have to run ahead of them and turn the light on for them. Instead of pulling wire and all that mess to solve the problem, I installed this light and keep the switch behind the door on. Perfect! It comes on when I'm a few feet away from the door and goes off a couple of minutes after I leave. It stays on while I'm in the shower because I'm moving. The only problem I have with the light is that is stays on for four minutes. For some that may be a plus. But, since I put it in a coat closet it only needed to be on for just seconds. It was advertised to stay on for just seconds.
