Be cautious not place your produce on the back area because it will freeze at contact point. I put glass bowl of fresh fruits to eat an hour or so later there. We purchased this small personal fridge for our mom's room in her long-term care room. There is a shared resident fridge, but there were things we wanted her to have readily available for her personal use without waiting for the CNAs to have time to grab them for her. We're able to store her half & half, juices, condiments and several small containers of handy meals and snacks with ease. We were very pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is - you really cannot hear it running at all, which was a real bonus for her shared sleeping quarters. My sister ended up getting another one for her college-bound son as well, based on our positive experience with this one. The fridge works nicely. I bought it as a replacement for the one I have at school. I won’t use it until the fall, but I did take it out and plug it in for a day to see how it ran and it was cooling great! It was also very quiet while running.
