  • Didn’t work out for us..
Flavor Name: Fowl Ball Size: 6 Ounce (Pack of 24)
The bottom line as far as having stopped giving it to our kitty was that he stopped eating it. But it also had a layer of oil on top, and in fact “oil” , not organic of course, and definitely one of the omega 9s or 6s, not the healthy kind of oil, which was actually listed on the can’s ingredients I think 2nd or 3rd, which is unusual for cat food to have added oil. kind of looked gross to me. But it wasn’t for me lol. Anyway, he loved it the first few or several times, then threw it up and then wouldn’t eat it anymore. So I’m left with it. It’s a personal thing of course! If he’d loved it, I’d still give it to him, because we’re always desperate to find a food they like that is also more healthy than Friskies wheat and corn etc fillers for example. BTW, I finally found a raw-food company that makes pet food with meat, organs and bones, that is near by me (808 Raw Food) and costs about the same per month as these expensive brands of canned food I was buying (that he wouldn’t eat consistently. He continued to love Shreds by Friskies 🤦🏼♀️ ). I was overjoyed when I discovered that it was in my own back yard! (Hawaii in case you’re here). I add a taurine etc. supplement that I buy from Hare Today, and we’re all set! Our kitty loves it and has started losing weight slowly. He seems so content now and goes longer between meals. ... show more

  • The pink can is a hard no.
Flavor Name: Kitty Gone Wild Size: 10 Ounce (Pack of 12)
So you know what type of cats I am dealing with: One of my 4 cats will gobble anything up, she was a wild (but tame) cat for the first few years of her life, hunting around the property. She became a housecat at about age 5 and she still retains that "eat anything" mentality. She will eat the "Kitty Gone Wild", but she does tend to lick AROUND the obvious fish pieces in the can, which speaks volumes to me since she is a wild girl at heart and will munch on just about everything. (She is 20 years old now, and still doing awesome, which I attribute to a healthy diet) If she is really hungry, which is usually the first meal of the day, she will eat the fish chunks, but usually she leaves it and waits for the other cats to leave their food. The other 3 cats are not picky, they are used to raw food. Although this is not raw food, I got it because I was looking for something additional to give them, to diversify their diet. They like the "Fowl Ball", and all 3 of the Tuna flavors a lot! The problem is with the "Kitty Gone Wild" flavor, that it looks good since it has pieces of fish in it, but it smells horrid. They will stick their nose up at it if they have other food or are not super hungry. So I will not purchase that type again, the smell is absolutely gross and smells spoiled when it is freshly open too, which I cant handle. If it is left out for an hour it smells so bad that I had to light an incense even to go into the kitchen to throw it all away. There is no putting it in a trash can either, unless you take the trash out immediately! I genuinely gagged at the smell but thought maybe the kitties like that -- but no. I am used to raw food too, so this was surprisingly gross to me, its a very hard NO for this type. I am on the fence with this brand because of the terrible smell of the one type. I got 3 cases, so I will mix it in here and there.. but the smell is so bad with "Kitty Gone Wild" that I am hesitant to try other types, even though they seems to like all 3 tuna flavors and the "Fowl Bowl", it is not good to give them tuna all the time.... So, I doubt I will invest in more of this brand, but it was worth a try. Werva, please fix this so that its palatable to the cats that eat everything! You all must know how horrid it smells manufacturing it, and if you do not know - then something must be going wrong down the line, which really makes me leery of this food. Back to the drawing board for me! ... show more

  • My cat's favorite flavor - and favorite brand
Flavor Name: Best Day Eva! Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 8)
My extremely picky cat will eat only B.F.F. O.M.G., and then only certain flavors. This is her favorite. She cleans the dish. I like that it is made with REAL MEAT, and lots of hydrating gravy (I add extra water to loosen it up a bit). I love that B.F.F. does not use any fillers like grains or legumes which are extremely unhealthy for cats. The B.F.F. brand seems to be very high quality, and has quite a variety of offerings with different textures and proteins, so there is something for every picky cat. ... show more

  • Updated review, 1 year later— I have finally found THE ONE.
Flavor Name: Rainbow A Gogo Variety Pack Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12)
UPDATED REVIEW (9/6/20) It has been nearly a year and my cat still loves these Weruva Oh My Gravy products. Over time I have oscillated back and forth between the cans and the pouches, for various reasons. I have noticed that the pouches definitely contain more gravy and smaller-sized chucks of meat than the same exact product but in a can. Overall, it doesn’t seem to make too much of a difference; she will eat it either way. There are definitely a few flavors that she won’t touch (and 2-3 that she goes bat-shit-crazy for) but there is such a great variety of flavors to choose from that I am still able to switch it up and keep her satisfied day after day. Also, If you give your cat any supplements (either liquid or powder) the large amount of gravy and smaller-sized chunks of meat allow for easy mixing/hiding/dissolving. Win-win! ORIGINAL REVIEW (10/7/19) *fingers crossed* I might have finally found my cats wet food!! You guys do not even know the journey that I have been on since transitioning from dry to wet food. LET ME TELL YOU it has not been easy. First we eliminated any products that weren’t grain or carrageenan free and some other things I didn’t want my cat eating. (Yes I’m one of t h o s e cat moms.) Then was the oh so miserable search for what texture of food she likes. She doesn’t do pate which right away eliminated the majority of wet food options. But then there is like stew and chunks and shredded and a billion other options. One thing I discovered pretty quickly is that SHE LOVES GRAVY. To the annoying point where she will just lick up all of the gravy from food and leave just strands or chunks of meat sitting there. It’s like having a child who will only eat the marshmallows from Lucy Charms. Soooo annoying!! I was legit starting to worry about my cats nutritional profile. Another issue we were having was that after a few days or weeks of eating the same brand of wet food she would just become bored of it a just stop eating it? At first I thought it was a lack of flavor options or variety but I soon learned that was not the issue. I have tried everything from Tiki Cat to Taste of the Wild to Merrick to Purina and back again. I EVEN TRIED RAW FOOD. I’m not kidding I was desperate. Nothing stuck. You know when they tell you to transition your cat slowly to a new food? My method for a while was just to stun the heck out of her with different brands and flavors just to get her to eat her food. In walks Weruva’s BFF Oh My Gravy. She loves this stuff. She laps it up in minutes and meows for more. It’s a consistency in which she actually eats the meat with the gravy!!! She enjoys the variety and I’m learning which flavors she prefers. I also surprisingly love the pouches. I was a bit hesitant at first but now I prefer them so much more than the cans! I also love that I can add water to the food when she’s a little dehydrated and it actually mixes with and increases the amount of gravy in her food vs it doing that thing where there is just water pooling around the gravy and/or watering it down to the point where my cats just lifts her nose at it. Another thing I surprisingly love are the 3oz portions. During this search I noticed she didn’t enjoy eating cold food that was stored in the fridge (when I bought 5.5oz cans and fed her half) nor did she like it when I heated it up for a few seconds in the microwave. (She also couldn’t finish a full 5oz serving in one sitting so it was being thrown out and wasted.) Talk about a picky cat. Now I pay a little bit more for the smaller 3oz portions but I get a cat that actually eats her food up vs wasting it. I think it saves me more in the long run. I am praying this one sticks and she doesn’t get “bored” after a few more weeks of the same food. Only time will tell. But so far I’m impressed!! ... show more
