This is my 2nd machine this year. I purchased a different brand in March. It has broken. This burner burns so clean and smooth. You can control your heat, and switch pins if you have different nibs to use. Very cool buy.

Hokay, so, I must say that this setup has been a game-changer for my wood burning projects. Quick overview of what you're getting: two detachable pens, 20 wood burner tips, sturdy/well-balance control base, and a dual-barrel holder. The temperature range of 482-1382 degrees Fahrenheit is impressive and allows for a wide variety of burning effects. The A/B toggle is a fantastic feature that lets you switch between pens quickly and easily, making it possible to work with different tips or temperatures simultaneously. This has significantly improved my efficiency and expanded the range of designs I can create. The 20 wood burner tips offer a great variety of shapes and sizes, and they blend well in terms of variety for detailed work and larger designs. They heat up quickly and and the burn temperature appears very consistent throughout a project, resulting in smooth and even burns every time. The dual-barrel holder is like most you'll see in similar products, except I would consider this one sturdier than those I've gotten before. Means less change of a holder mishap leading to damaging your workspace (or yourself!). It’s a simple yet effective solution for holding the pens when they’re not in use or are heating up. It’s a small detail, but it adds a lot to the overall user experience by keeping your workspace organized and safe. In terms of build quality, both the pens and the tips are sturdy and well-made. They feel comfortable in the hand, even after extended use, which is crucial for those longer projects. Overall, the 939D-VI dual pen kit is an excellent tool for experienced wood burning artists, and I think it would serve as a reasonably comfortable intro tool for beginners.     • BLOWN AWAY WITH THIS TOOL
I had to break down and buy another one after a similar one broke, and after digging forever, decided on this one. Mostly, I have a problem with these tools not getting hot enough. That's really my BIGGEST need. I'm willing to put up with a lot of negatives in other areas but not that one and I'm thrilled to report that this thing AMAZED me. I didn't even put it on the highest setting and it moved like butter through the wood! I carved on the lid of one of those wooden craft boxes you get from Hobby Lobby. But on top of it working amazing, the hand tool had a heat foam insulator and I not once felt the heat of it like my other one. Also, it had a small tin can for the tips! You'd think that's not a big deal but it is. Where did I put my tips? That's not something you want to not know the answer to when going to do a job. And the tin can for the tips has a spot on the machine that it SITS in! How convenient. It also came with the tools to put the tips on and off and even spare screws. Loved that. I love the cradle that the hand tools sit in also, just perfect. The base is heavy and doesn't move, I like that as well. I wish the cord was a little longer but it's def not a deal breaker. The handles are nice and ergonomic. Very comfortable to use. I like that i can have 2 different tips ready to go. Only able to heat one side Ata time but that's fine with me. The cords are a little on the weighty side and sometimes it feels like they are pulling on the pen part when I am drawing. Overall a nice item though. I love it. ... show more
