In brief due to poor management on my part I ran out of my Wellness cat food. Thinking there is probably no difference really I got a bag of the brand with a checker board for a logo. Three things happened. My cats appetite when up significantly along with going the the litter box and lastly just sleeping all the time. That was a big change in behavior. As soon as I went back to Wellness cat food all that behavior changed. She eats less, poops less and runs around the house with energy. That was the cat I was used to. I am no expert and am not able to break down ingredients and what is contained in any pet food. But I am now very suspicious of what the checker board brand put in their food. The media could not be loaded. I first found this good at PetSmart. It is decently priced for a decent quality of food. Normally my cats excessively shed when they eat lower quality/ cheaper cat food like meow mix. I was worried about that happening with this cat food because it is in the cheaper range of foods. But with this food my kitty has no shedding at all, he enjoys the flavor and seems to be doing well on this diet. ... show more

I have had my kittens on Iams wet and dry kitten food but I wanted to switch to see if there was something better and quality and possibly better for their health so I tried the wellness core, but they aren’t as crazy about the flavor and taste as they were the other foods my three-year-old cat loves the tiny tasters by core wellness. They’re grain free actually both the cat and Kitten like the pouch tiny tasters but the regular canned food they just don’t care for. It’s not real expensive and Petsmart and Petco have a great variety in stock if I can’t get it on time with Amazon but I think they liked the IAMS texture and flavors more . Unfortunately this product may not be returned. Buyer Beware! If your pet doesn't like the food or is allergic to an ingredient you are not allowed to return it.
