    • Patched up my 10 year old awning.
My awning has (had) a series of holes in the exposed section that would let water in during rains that would eventually turn to mold while it's rolled up. Smelled like a nasty pond every time you'd open it if you didn't air it out which doesn't make for happy campers. The rest of the awning was fine so I didn't want to replace the whole thing just yet so I tried this out. So far so good. Layed a few strips along the whole run and it's stayed strong through a big rain storm (Hillary) and most importantly it's stopped the water from getting into the awning! The adhesive is good but make sure you properly clean the surface first to keep it from peeling. I used some simple green and then a rag with rubbing alcohol. ... show more

    • Great tape, ugly color though
Oh this is going to yellow real fast! Especially in the sun! It is a great strong tape however and if you see any holes or frays in your awnings you need to address it right away, as a small rip can easily tear completely across in no time! It leaves a yellow tinge on white areas, and I guess once you get to the point where you're repairing an awning with tape, it won't matter anyway. It just rained and it held up well. But tape takes time to really show it's true durability so this is a review I will need to revisit after enough time. ... show more

    • Hope it holds up
I needed this for the top of my pop up canopy where the center bar broke through the top. I can see this tape is reinforced with threads, which should give it strength. It is very flexible. My main concern is the tape glue is not super strong, meaning I can remove it easy enough after applying it. I closed the top hole, it seems to be holding up, but how durable the tape will be in the long run is yet to be seen. I will follow up as needed. ... show more

    • A quick fix for torn canvas
I ordered this repair tape to do a quick repair on an outdoor patio canopy. Our cats decided it was fun to climb up to the top of the canvas canopy and play, in doing so they ripped a few large holes in the canvas. I needed something to do a quick patch before a summer rain storm, while we waited for a replacement canopy. This tape did the trick. I swept the canvas with a brush to dust off the pollen and dust that had accumulated and stuck the tape on, extending it a few inches beyond the end of the tear. We also added a layer of the tape on the inside of the canopy. It has been two weeks and it is still firmly attached to the top of the canopy, surviving both rain and hot summer sun. The ends of the underside tape have peeled up a bit, but it was still sticky, so a quick rub adhered it back to the canvas. The tape on the top side has held without issue. This tape did exactly what we needed, a quick fix a few hours before a summer rainstorm. I'm certain, without the tape, the canvas would have been ripped apart by the wind and rain. A tree branch fell on top of the canopy after a recent storm, and it left a wide rip. I tried gray tape and that started to come loose after it rained, so I decided to give this tape a try. I was able to easily mend the rip with the tape. It is sticky and adhered very well. The tape is somewhat flexible, which made it easier to use. I used scissors to cut the tape, and it has grids on it, so I just followed the lines to make straight cuts. It's rained twice after I taped the canopy, and it's holding perfectly fine. Some say that it's better to tape from the exterior of the canopy versus interior, but it was easier for me to tape from the inside of the canopy without me having to take it down. This is a decent sized roll, so I have a lot of extra tape left. I want to point out a mistake that I made. I dropped the roll of tape on the ground and because the sides of the roll are sticky, it picked up dirt, and it was difficult to clean off. Don't be like me. ... show more

If you have tarps, greenhouse plastic, or canvas that needs repair, then this tape is a must. I already used it to repair a few areas where the plastic in my greenhouse has leaks. It works.
