I really love the modern style and shape of this light. It was fairly easy to install, but I have done a LOT of light installs, so I'm pretty familiar. Hooking it up to the dimmer switch worked like a charm. My biggest problem with this light (and reason for the lower rating) is the light color itself - it is a super cold, bluish daylight LED. I wasn't paying enough attention to the LED wattage or whatever to realize it would be so stark and unfriendly looking in my dining room. I would NOT recommend it for any place you want to feel warm and cozy.... I feel like we're about to perform surgery now in our dining room, not eat dinner. ... show more

The lamp looks beautiful. The base of the lamp comes with screws to reinforce the lamp to the ceiling and that is not an option if you are going to install it on an apartment (you are not allow to install anything to the ceiling of a condo). Great looking light, and being easily adjustable means you can really customize your look from height to angle. Installation wasn't too bad, just make sure to tie off the excess wires inside so they don't get tangled/pop out. Being dimmable is the gravy on top, if you already have that hooked up in your home. Only caveat is that the light has a VERY cool color temperature at 6000K (very white and not very warm/yellow). Nothing against the light itself, just make sure that is what you want. ... show more

Quality fixture and has a nice white light. Can't stand a 3k yellow light. Won't buy them ever. This unit is dimable and nice and bright. I get the 2 rings close to where I want them and then pull it back down and zip tie up the excess slack in the mounting cables so they don't sneak outside the center wiring cover.
