this is an oddlittle set with a bunch of goofy English on it. if you're planning on gifting this to a kid, you'll probably want to go through everything and take out the weirder stuff in the aesthetic little photo set. the included notebook is okay quality, and the multicolor pen is neat but the ink isn't as vibrant as I thought it would be. the stencils are a bit random as far as designs go for this set and would probably benefit better from being ones with flowers or just shapes instead of random animals. I think have more of the frame pieces would be nice, too. ... show more

This whole set comes in a cute & clear gift bag, and inside is a large selection of decorating accessories. You get everything from glittery washi tape to multiple sets of stickers (both of the botanical & the very kawaii variety). The only thing I didn't like in this set was the journal itself, and the 'rainbow' pen. As you can see from my closeup picture, the ink itself is muddy/bland looking. But the variety & quality of the stickers more than makes up for the pen & diary quality. ... show more

The words just do not go with a journal for little girls, not to mention that they aren't written in a good English. I put tape over the words to mask them. The set comes in an opaque bag, with the clear tote containing all the goodies. It looks very cute. It is plain and is meant to be decorated with the included stickers. There are plastic stickers, and washi paper stickers, plus tape, little papers (you will need glue or double sided tape for those) and other goodies. The journal is lined and has the brand name (Islandfirst) typed in bold letters at the bottom of each page, but at least it is not something obnoxious. Everything can be put back in the tote for clean up, which is great. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. ++Pros:++ o LOTS of really pretty things to decorate the journal with! See video. o Tapes, papers, stickers, really cute paper clips and keychain. o The border papers are really nice! o The pen is multicolor, writes smoothly, and will change colors as I write. I really LIKE the pen! o I get such a kick out of 'hand taping stickers'. Hahaha! I've never seen anything like that before. ++Cons:++ o The clear plastic bag has that very strong plastic smell that smells good for about ten seconds and then starts to make me feel nauseous. o The pack of little pictures gave me strong, unpleasant feelings. ++About the Pack of Little Pictures:++ o I love random photographs, so I was thrilled to see this pack of random pictures! I expect the company was looking to convey feelings like are shown in the photo with three pictures: 'The future is bright' above some tulips; 'Spring' above a cute piglet; and a heart shaped bouquet of flowers. Many of the pictures in the pack have that vibe. o Some photos are just weird. Like, is that a concrete plant under a pink sky? I LIKE this photo. It's interesting. o Some are random and attractive, like the stairs and door. o Some make no sense, like "I keep my miss in the wind." I expect this is an 'English is not my first language issue and I'm not bothered by it. o Some are ADORABLE AND I LOVE THEM! 'Here is such a lovely cat'. The pink blossoms one reads, 'In spring, this pink flower is particularly charming.' Ferris wheel photo reads, 'Life is like a dandelion seemingly free but involuntarily'. o Some are creepy and they made me feel bad. 'You never know, I might get lucky' is innocent on its own, but not right after looking at a photo of a girl wearing jeans showcasing the Playboy logo and bunny. The picture of the telephone features a 'She Can' of wine. After looking at that, the picture with 'You are the hope and sugar of my tired life' is really creepy feeling to me. o I think that 'Things always start to get better after you give up' is another 'English not first language' issue. But it's awkward alongside, 'Sometimes i can't find a reason to persist, but i just don't want to give up.' I tried, and failed, to keep this review short. I just don't want to give a product such a low rating without explaining what my thoughts were. Some of this set is lovely. But some of those pictures made me very uncomfortable when I imagined giving them to a child or young teen. ... show more
