Needed replacement parts for an old Weber grill. Second time replacing the charcoal holders in almost 15 years. These seem to be a cheaper quality than the previous, but that's the new norm so we'll see how long these last. Usually try to buy locally, but these were less expensive to buy online. Before I purchased this, I wasn't sure if they were too large for my 18" weber; the description said 'yes'; the check your model came back as 'unknown'. I took the chance and they are perfect, both for direct and indirect cooking. I prefer to put my briquets in a basket when I grill - so these are ideal. My grill is rather small since I only cook for one or two - but there is more than enough room to fill up the baskets with plenty of briquets for my use. Makes cleanup easier - just carry them to your dump site and done! ... show more

I used to just pile coals off to the sides to indirect cook something. These seem to help produce a much more even heat. Cooked a 4 lb chicken the other night and it cooked perfectly in 45 minutes and the skin was perfectly golden brown. Yum. When I cooked a chicken with the coals just piled off to the sides the bird never came out as good as this one did. ... show more
