ORIGINAL IMPRESSIONS: Smoked chicken and pork, both looked awesome, but fell flat on taste. These pellets burn really fast too! So if you are using a pellet smoker tube like me, be prepared to try and fish it out when hot to refill the pellets, or get only a slight Smokey flavor. UPDATE: Now have a Pit Boss vertical smoker. Tested it by smoking some chicken leg quarters. Very tasty after 2hrs @ 250 & another hr just smoking, VERY TASTY. Will definitely get more of this flavor, also plan to try the Competition Blend & Hickory. Side note, nearly no ash to clean up in the smoker at all. ... show more

A good mix of flavors. The shipping time is horrible, the only benefit was they dropped the price $8 after I ordered, so I saved that. It’s back up to regular price again. So that was a bonus. I’d only buy these at the sale price. They are great at that price.

Ordered two bags. It took a little longer than I expected for delivery and the bags came two weeks apart. Still, way more convienient than taking the time to go to the store to buy. I will order my pellets this way from now on.

I saw a few reviews with issues in shipping. Mine came in good condition. I used them in a Recteq 1250 to prepare two beef briskets. One was from a friend that wanted it smoked and one that I bought for my wife and I. The mesquite burned nicely with not a lot of smoke. But, the flavor went into the beef. For 9 hours of smoking, very little pellets were consumed. My friends loved the taste. My wife does not like beef said the mesquite gave good flavor and enjoyed it.
