The seal is well designed. Covers completely the gap between the garage door and the ground. Installation took a bit of work, mostly from my old garage door rails. Happy with the purchase. Would buy it again.

    • Not as easy as is should have been....

I cleaned the channel on the garage door. I used a combination of Dawn and Dawn with water to lubricate both the channel and the seal that goes into the channel on the door, and it took 4 people tons of effort and at least 30 minutes to install. I also ended up using a wide flat head screwdriver and an adjustable wrench for torque to try and widen the channel. It finally worked, and it looks like it should do its job, but wow, it was waaaaay harder to install than I thought it would be. I guess one good thing I can say it that with three of us pulling on it (and one guiding it in the channel), it took a tremendous amount of stress to it and it didn't break or tear. The door I put it on was new back in 2003, so I don't know if specs have changed since then or not. ... show more

I was concerned this was going to be a hassle to install as our old one was 20+ yrs. old. My husband and I got it installed without a problem. It seems to fit and be working right. Time will tell on the durability. It's not round, photo was a little confusing. It's like a flat inner tube.

    • FLAT. No round circle shape and doubt that it will ever relax and become round again.

Product is too thin and arrived rolled up. Therefore it was flat not a round circular shape like the photos. It will not relax return back to a tubular shape. It’s just a rubber flap laying on the ground.

Order one size larger than you need. It’s somewhat difficult to pull through the track. A couple inches tore off in the process. Better to have more than you need than have to purchase two. Just cut off the extra.
