  • Most sturdy corner rounder I've found
Color: Aqua
I'm not a fan of "put it on the table and push down" punches. I don't know why, but I always seem to move my paper and the little levers some of those punches have I swear are engineered to break. This tool is something sturdy that I can use. I'm sure the day will come where gripping it is a challenge, but I'm not there yet, so I'm going to enjoy this while I can. Thank you! ... show more

  • Hard on the Hand
Color: Aqua
I got this corner puncher thinking it would be more convenient for me to use. Since I already have a punch for planner holes I thought it would be similar. I tried to use the corner punch and found it very hard to squeeze to punch and it made my hand hurt. Ended up returning.

I had wanted one of the "crop-a-dile" products for a long, long time. But it was to me, an indulgence when there were so many others needs at hand. When I finally decided; a little Mother's Day treat for myself, there none to be had! Now my angst was rearing it's ugly head and the anticipation when it finally did arrive was somewhat deflating. Through no fault of anyone but my imagination. So, packaging being what it is, nearly won the battle but my cat helped, and we pulled out this somewhat heavier than expected chunky and squeezable heavy duty, like you're going to be using this for the rest of your life and your granddaughter will be expected to will it to her children. Okay, I am exaggerating. I am making a point. They made this to last! So many times, I purchased an item that was broken and in the recycle bin within a year or two. Then you rinse and repeat, over and over again. If you have issues with your hands, you should perhaps hesitate and find someone that has this item in the same style that you want and had just recently purchased. Cause I know you don't want to buy it, try it, and then try and remember to send it back on time. It is possible that it will loosen up over time and use, which is why I am waiting and using it as much as I can in the next month and hope that I get used to it, or it becomes less resistant. So, this review is PART A, Part B will be the first week in July 2021. The action of trimming the corners is perfect. I purchased the 1/4 and 1/2 rounded corner Crop-a-dile. The 1/2 is a nice full-size curve and all I had to do was stick the tip of the corner into the nested guide and squeeze the handles just like scissors. (That squeezing is where the discomfort comes in.) The little pieces that are cut off are stored in a little container that you must empty regularly as it can interfere with usage. It seems to be able to cut through anything that I have thrown at it: cardboard, paper, card stock, plastic, tissue paper, sand paper, magazine paper, The other side is a 1/4 curve thats is less round and not quite as large over all. I find that you must make sure the wings are spread all the way out to ensure full contact with the blade and the tip of the corner. I hope you have as much fun as I am with it. • Awesome... if you get one that works
Color: Aqua
I recently got into "print & play" games (cardgames/boardgames that you print out yourself for free or very cheap). So I splurged on two different "Crop-A-Dile Corner Chompers" by We R Memory Keepers. I had heard these were the best corner rounders around, great for games crafted from laminated cardstock, and wasn't sure which size would be best for my needs (Teal/aqua can do 1/4" & 1/2" rounded corners- https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0024M5GH4/ and the light yellow does 1/8" and 3/4" rounded corners- https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0041B3W72/ ) Unfortunately, the first one to arrive, the teal/aqua, had one side that didn't work at all, and another that was only so-so. Apparently some were manufactured with alignment defects. I returned that and thankfully the replacement works perfectly! Unfortunately, the yellow also had a manufacturing mistake- the sizes on each side are mislabeled (says both sizes for each punch! Seems they accidentally used the same "wing" twice. So had to use an elastic on handle of smaller side to remember which was actually the smaller punched curve. I think my favorite for working on playing cards is the light yellow, because it can do smaller corners. But as a crafter that works with many different materials, I am happy to now own both of these heavy-duty punches. They punch very easily, and are comfortable even in my small hand. (FYI- The yellow's 3/8" punch and the teal/aqua's 1/4" punch are very similar, the yellow one is a slightly shallower curve) ... show more

  • Not worth the price
Color: Aqua
When my ancient corner rounder gave up the ghost, I found a small, three-size plastic version for about seven dollars. I like the idea of having three choices for my diameter, but I found that every fourth or fifth corner that I clipped would be ragged and there was very little I could do to fix it. So I decided to get something a little more expensive, assuming that it would work better. On YouTube, I saw paper artists using a plier type of corner rounder. The only kind Amazon had available was a crop-o-file brand with two different diameters. Unfortunately, this one was $23. So, I bit the bullet, and got the expensive tool. It is heavy. It is so wide that it is difficult to grip. And, to top it off, this expensive tool makes ragged edges about every other punch. There seems to be no way to insert the paper and get a good punch. Perhaps it’s the guides that have to be flipped out every time you use them. Maybe they don’t know always go to the same position? There is no easy way to tell which size punch you are using. You have to turn the pliers and read the tiny print for the radius on the side before you can use them every single time. I should have just got another an expensive plastic corner rounder. ... show more

  • Works but it's a bit fiddly
Color: Aqua
This product works well on cardstock and paper as long as the edges are perfectly square. If not you need to be certain to center the corner and hold it in place with your thumb and even then you may get a jagged edge. I use this for junk journaling and card making. Works better for card making where measurements are exact and less so in journal making where I use more scrap material and off cut pieces. Does not work with cork or vinyl. If I had to do it again I would have purchased a much cheaper corner rounder but this gets the job done ... show more
