  • Made in JapanReal Japanese bonsai training wire 100% made by artisans and blacksmiths from the city of Sanjo in Niigata prefecture (Japan), area traditionally known for their metalworking skills.
  • Bonsai Shaping and Bending UseThe annealed copper bonsai training wire is ideal to use for bending thick branches or shaping the bonsai tree trunk. Copper wire is not as flexible as aluminum wire and can be work hardened quickly. But precisely because of the holding strength, it is great when you try to bend the trunk into new positions, as it will keep shape better.
  • 3 Sizes AvailableDepending on your bonsai tree needs and the thickness of the branches and trunk you can select different sizes: 1.2mm, 1.6mm or 2mm. For twigs use a small 1.2mm size while for thick branches and tree trunks, use better a large 2.0 mm. When in doubt, remember to always choose a bonsai wire that is 1/3 the thickness of the branch.

Description

【Specification】 Length: 95.1 feet (29m) Weight: 10.58 oz (300g) Material: Annealed Copper 【Caution】 Do not use it for any other purpose than the described. Never use it as an electricity conductor. The tip can be very sharp and cause injuries so be careful. Keep it in a safe place out of the reach of children. Because of the annealed process, there might be natural dark brown parts, but that does not mean wire is defective or dirty. --- Wazakura Bonsai Tools MADE IN JAPAN --- 【Made in Japan】 Real Japanese bonsai training wire 100% made by artisans and blacksmiths from the city of Sanjo in Niigata prefecture (Japan), area traditionally known for their metalworking skills. 【Shaping and Bending Use】 The annealed copper bonsai training wire is ideal to use for bending thick branches or shaping the bonsai tree trunk. Copper wire is not as flexible as aluminum wire and can be work hardened quickly. But precisely because of the holding strength, it is great when you try to bend the trunk into new positions, as it will keep shape better. 【Benefits of Annealed Copper】 The copper is annealed by heating to a temperature that softens the bonsai wire. The process makes the wire easier to bend and hold branches well without requiring a high gauge, as it would happen if you used aluminum wire.. Annealed copper also tends to fade to a dull brown and match the bonsai trunk, so it's not intrusive and more aesthetically pleasing and the viewer can see more of the tree. 【3 Sizes Available】 Depending on your bonsai tree needs and the thickness of the branches and trunk you can select different sizes: 1.2mm, 1.6mm or 2mm. For twigs use a small 1.2mm size while for thick branches and tree trunks, use better a large 2.0 mm. When in doubt, remember to always choose a bonsai wire that!s 1/3 the thickness of the branch.

  • Not 29 meters long - it's only 10 meters.
Size: 2.00mm Style: Coper Wire
The 2mm wire is only 10 meters long, not 29 meters per the description. It comes in a coil only about 6 inches in diameter, so it work hardens as you straighten it out to use. Disappointing.

  • Worth getting the best
Size: 2.00mm Style: Coper Wire
Bonsai, like yoga, is for me a meditative practice. Just as I invest in high-quality yoga equipment, I also believe Wazakura products are worth the cost. I haven't replaced my yoga mat in years, and these precision tools will surely outlast me. The weight, feel, and tradition help me focus on the time-honored art of bonsai. ... show more
