  • They are sharp and cut very well
I have a mini elephant Bonsai plant that I needed to trim, and the scissors are a perfect match when trimming my plant. Since this is my first Bonsai to have, I had to watch the video on how to care for my plant. The scissors used in the video looked to be the same. I highly recommend these scissors especially for beginners. ... show more

  • Best I've used, now wife wants a pair too
I absolutely love these. Nice and sharp, comfortable, makes quick work of pruning. Easy to get into tight, tough spots in the foliage, very clean cuts. It is weird for me to say this about a gardening tool...but seriously these are a joy to use.

  • Easy, Even for The Hopelessly New
I have never done any bonsai tree raising, but on a whim I picked a beat up, ugly, neglected one from a big chain store and took it home to try my hand at rehabilitation. I've used many gardening, poultry, and metal cutting shears, but never bonsai shears. Despite that, I can tell these are very high quality, heavy, and have a wonderful smooth cutting action, even for those gnarled and knotted mutant branches. I haven't used them for a prolonged amount of time yet, but imagine anyone using these for hours on end would not have any complaints either. ... show more

  • You’re buying them because they look cool.
I can’t say these are great other than they look cool. They are somewhat difficult to open, the leave an odd smell on your hands, and are quite heavy. They are sharp especially around the tip, but it’s failed a couple times trying to clip soft leaves, but I use it mostly for stems and small branches anyway. ... show more

  • Mostly decorative
I bought to hang in my kitchen from a hook. They look nice and they work well to cut open an occasional package. But not sharp enough for doing a lot of precision paper cutting.

  • Sharper than mamaw’s tongue!
The only negative about these scissors is that if one is not careful, they can bite your palm or stray fingers. They’re seriously sharp and strong, and it seems that the blades may even help sharpen each other as they work. (dunno though) Worth the price.

  • Affordable
Great, affordable bonsai pruning scissors. Be sure to disinfect with alcohol between each separate plant pruning as to not spread disease or infection.

  • Rusts fast
Love the shape. Rusts incredibly fast even when dried immediately after cutting though, so that is unfortunate.
