I just needed a small cubby to hold a variety of items for my cat's litter area beneath the stairs (so it wouldn't feel quite so messy) and this item has performed the task perfectly. I only gave 4 stars on sturdiness because I definitely wouldn't be putting any heavy weight on it, but that's not what it was designed for. Overall, it arrived quickly, was easy to assemble (and I'm notoriously terrible at assembly), while also being exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the espresso cube (which does not have interior shelving). It's about a roll of paper towels-tall and wide, if that helps anyone get a grip on its size. ... show more

until it didn't. The cubes are light and easily assembled. However there are NO SCREWS. There are pegs and adhesives. Unfortunately, the adhesives are just so-so. I put it together and then when I went to pick up the cube and move it, it fell apart completely. I had to stack something heavy on top of it and while that seemed to help, I kind of don't trust the cube to hold up. I wish there were some screws included with the pegs and adhesives.     • You have to understand 3M adhesives

Whether you love this or hate it probably depends on 2 things (1) Understanding that 3M adhesives get weaker as they get older, and (2) Whether you follow the instructions to pick this up from the BOTTOM. Anybody who's used Command Strips for a long, long time has probably discovered that the older the strip, the less staying power it might have. I believe the people who said this fell apart on them probably got older adhesive. I figured it was a risk but everything else was so expensive that I decided if this didn't work, I'd do what another reviewer did and order Gorilla Glue strips. I treated this like a Command Strip: Once all pieces were together, I put the full weight of my upper body on the sides with the adhesive for 30-60 seconds, knowing that the bond would get stronger over 24 hours, but that this would help. Anyway, it's worked as promised. If you're looking for serious storage, I would see whether there's a cloth box that fits into the one without the door, as those hold so much more. Anything you put inside the cube with the door has to be large by itself, or self-contained, or it'll fall out when you open the door. ... show more

I think this is great that it is made out of recycled material as it claims in the description. I would not use this to combine and make like a 2x3 unit. It is very weak/cheap. I think it is sturdy enough to stack one on top. I am using it as an under desk storage to hide cords and to put my purse in so I don’t plop my bags on top of my desk. I’ll use this as long as it can last ... show more
