Picked this pad up for one reason (OK, maybe 2). Cats been doing their business on one of my rugs (now replaced), so I need to protect my floors. And this particular rug would be bad should it slip while walking on it (usually carrying heavy stuff in and out of this door). This pad takes care of both issues. I had to cut it down to size a little, but not to hard to do. Now we'll see how well it protects. So far, so good. I am knocking off 1 star simply because it's advertised as a "thick" pad, which it is not at all. But that's not really why I bought it... 4 stars. ... show more

It is surprisingly hard to find a good non-slip rug pad which is thin. There are plenty of times when one does not want extra padding or height, but the the mesh ones don't actually keep a rug in place. This pad is fantastic. it is not perceptible under the rug, but absolutely grips both the rug and the floor, so the rug does not budge. Best of all, it is super easy to place the pad and pick it up for deeper cleaning, and the pad holds grit that would otherwise fall though my thinner cotton wovens and abrade my floors. This rug pad is thicker but not cushiony. It's easy to cut to size as my rug was a 4 x 6 and I got a 5 x 7 pad. The pad grips the back of the rug well but it still slid around on my floor (luxury vinyl plank) a little bit even though there is a gripping pattern on the bottom. Overall, it's a quality pad but I find it a bit pricey and for that much, it shouldn't move an inch. ... show more
