Washburn has been building banjos since the late 1800S. These instruments were considered some of the finest of their day. This heritage is not lost in the instruments we handcraft today. Pros & amateurs alike choose a Washburn for its outstanding tone, build & value. Perfect for fans of folk music, old timey music and claw hammer style players, the B7 is a mahogany open back 5 string banjo. Similar in design to our open back banjos from the early 20th century, It features a Remo head for best tone, maple bridge with ebony tip for superb tone transfer and chrome die cast tuners for smooth tuning. • Seem good to me for the money...
Style: Alternative Engineered Wood
It seems to be a expensive instrument to me I don't know how to play it but i'm going to start learning too during my retirement...

  • Don't listen to the other review!
Style: Rosewood
I have no idea if the person that wrote the last review even has the same banjo. The B-7 is a great banjo! It is very sturdy, has a great sound, and is made from really good material. Overall, this is an excellent instrument, whether you are a beginner, or someone looking for a light weight banjo to travel with. I couldn't be happier with this banjo! ... show more

Nice Chinese Banjo. Plays chop-sticks pretty well. Is ANYTHING made in AMERICA anymore?

  • Pure junk
Style: Alternative Engineered Wood
If it wasn't so time-consuming to return things to Amazon, I would return this. It's junk. The neck is bowed and the intonation is horrible. I'll have to take for repairs right from the start. I would give it a negative star if it was possible. Washburn encloses truss rod adjustment instructions for a guitar, not a banjo also. Goofy. Avoid this one. ... show more

  • Nice, entry level banjo for a good price.
Style: Rosewood
A nice entry level banjo, if you do a little work on it. The action at the nut was way too high, so get that fixed and it plays very nicely. I light the light weight- no resonator makes it easy to wear. Plenty loud enough for home use or acoustic jams. Looks very nice, no defects of any kind.

  • Washburn B7 Series Banjo
Style: Rosewood
I have owned a couple of Washburn instruments, (banjo and mandolin) these were excellent. Washburn should be ashamed to have there name on this banjo. would not stay in tune! Very cheaply made.
