I followed the advice from other reviews and bought a king size for my queen size bed so had extra room to hang over. It still does not hang over as much at the foot of the bed as this picture shows... it barely covers my 14-in high mattress at the foot. Our family goes on 1 week vacation every summer by the Jersey Shore and rent a beach house. The towels and beddings are not usually provided by the rental place we so we have to pack and bring bed sheets, pillow cases and bath towels. They do have comforters and blankets but I highly doubt that they wash those every week with new rentals so we bring duvet covers to our vacation just to cover the comforters/blankets that they provide. This summer, we rented a beach house that only had 2 Queen beds and 1 twin sofa bed. I didn't want my kid to sleep on a sofa bed because the sofa was in the living room so we brought a cot to set it up in the bedroom then used the comforter that they provided so bought this twin size duvet cover for the trip and it was perfect. My daughter slept on the cot and she really liked this white duvet cover because it was soft to touch on her skin and had striped texture on the top. It also came with 1 matching pillowcase but we didn't use it as this rental place did provide flat sheet and pillowcase so we just needed to cover the provided blanket with this duvet cover. It has a hidden zipper under the flap so the zipper never touches the skin and there are corner ties inside if you were using this for comforter. This duvet is a good value. It is soft but a little thin. It looks pretty and is fine for my daughters room. We use it as an extra duvet folded at the end of the bed. I love the texture and am happy we purchased it. However, this is not a luxurious duvet cover - so if you are looking for that you will need to spend a big more money. ... show more
