The fringe gives it a nice subtle texture that goes with a variety of decor themes. This piece is a great way to feel like you own luxurious resort-style bedding without breaking the bank, and is a nice upgrade if you are used to settling for the bed-in-a-bag sets from big box stores. This is a soft grey and is soft to sleep under. The top has some detail on which I love as it gives the look some depth and is not all flat. Very very happy with this purchase. I did order a king for my queen bed just to have it hang over almost to the floor as it looks more classy in my eyes.
