The tufting pattern perpendicular to the narrow ridge pattern creates a visual interest, and i like it, personally, although my neighbor thought it was too non-traditional. Nonsense, I argued - tufting has been around almost as long as sheep have! LOL. But seriously, it's nice, and has a nice touch-feel quality as well from the roughness of the ridges to the softness of the tufts. Seems like it'll wick up moisture, so don't spill your cosmo on it if the party ends up in that room, or if you eat/drink in bed - as we all sometimes do, let's just admit. It's a duvet as well as a comforter, and works well for both. Bit ticklish if used as a comforter and you don't have a top sheet folded amply over it, but that's fine - it's all part of the experience. I do like it and I do think it's breathable and it even looks nice on a made bed - whatever that is (haven't seen one in ages!) Yes, I feel cozy and I RECOMMEND this covering. ... show more
