LOVE my Mr. Deer Head! He adds the PERFECT touch to my office gallery wall!! I'm thinking about spray painting his antlers Gold because he's hanging on a white wall and my office colors are gold and white. Either way, he looks AMAZING!! Some people say he's smaller than they were expecting, so after reading those reviews, I was expecting him to be pretty small, which I was fine with, especially for the price... So when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised. No one wants a huge Deer Head on their wall. I take that back. A lot of people do. If you're one of those people, then I recommend getting the larger size- he'd be more of an "over the fireplace" size deer head. If you're going for more of a modern, elegant, trendy-ish, sleek, cool lookin' deer head, then go for this guy in white. Also, the antlers come separately (like all the deer head antlers do), but these antlers fit PERFECTLY in the holes so you can't see the line between the head and the antlers AT ALL- even right up close from Amy angle. I've seen other VERY similar white deer heads (w/ the separated antlers also) and that space between the head and the antlers DOES show and is pretty obvious looking. Also, this deer head's structure and texture are PERFECT for what most people are looking for, not too real-looking where it just looks strange, like you might as well have a REAL deer head hanging in your home. I'm guessing most people want NOT too real-looking, but a gorgeous texture. I hope this makes sense and, like I said, I've seen several other similar white deer heads (because I've been looking to purchase one for awhile now) and this one's, BY FAR, the best (for lack of a better word). I can GUARANTEE you'll love this guy. And once you get him, if you think his antlers would look better a different color to match the room, then they're super easy to spray paint, especially since they come apart so easily. A must-have! The media could not be loaded. So lightweight, perfect size for a tighter area. Hung it in a guest bath with a floating wood frame, 19”x15”. True off white so could work with a modern or traditional style room. Good value item, unique look.

What I disliked is that it is solid/dense, and heavy. Difficult to work with as each nail head must have a pre-drilled hole. It was difficult to find a glue that would adhere to both fabric and resin surface. What I like/love is that, though smaller than I wanted, it looks very realistic. With a bit of paint and burnishing, the antlers look REAL! It was clearly marked as 14", so my fault that I was expecting larger. It's sturdy. The antlers fit perfectly in a recessed section. Perfect size and very sturdy. The horns fit into slots, no glue needed as they sit in the slots very securely. This is a lot better looking than I thought it would be. I left it white for a bit of a modern flair in my lodge-themed room. I used a 'monkey hook' to hang. Easy.

Elegant decoration. The white version is quite elegant and easy to paint. The antlers are removable and I painted them gold making the whole thing more elegant. The same could be done with the head. The whole piece has realistic texture and doesn't chip easily. There's a nice whole that is well centered and balanced in the back for hanging. The whole is roughly the size of a pinkie tip but is smaller toward the top to accommodate a nail or screw. I hung the piece with a command hook and it stays without a problem. The head is smaller than a typical deer's by quite a bit but the antlers could be considered life size depending on your definition for the size of an antler.
