I have rated this light pretty high because I like everything about it, but the light. The light works great when plugged in and I like the three different settings, but it does not stay on with out the charger. I have to keep my charger close by and plug it in every time I use the mirror. That's not a big problem for me, but might be for others. Also, if I were re-ordering I would try to find one with an 8X magnifier. I believe I would like that better. As to ease of installation, I cannot answer that because I didn't do it my self.     • usb location on mirror flawed

The location of where to attach the usb to the mirror is terrible. When the usb is plugged in, you can not swivel the mirror to the other side because the curved mount around the mirror gets in the way, so you have to unplug the usb to flip it to the magnified side. I ended up using the batteries instead of returning the item because I like the mirror. Plus side - It is just as bright with the batteries as it is with the usb. It is very bright. I still don't understand why they don't make it to where it uses a regular wall plug instead of a usb adaptor, which it does not come with, only comes with the cord. ... show more
