The Wahl groomsman combo is a battery powered beard, mustache, hair trimmer that comes with a nose hair trimmer for men. The beard trimmer is powered on 2 AA batteries allowing for cordless convenience. Also included is a AA battery nose & ear trimmer with a hygienic rinseable head for removing unwanted hair just allow for head to dry before reattaching (note: batteries are not included). Our mens beard trimmer kit features self-sharpening high-carbon precision-ground blades that stay sharper longer providing a smooth precise trim, so you can get the beard style you want. Attach any of the included 7 individual trimming guide combs or the 6-position adjustable guide comb to this facial hair trimmer kit to achieve a wide range of beard styles from 1/16” to ½”. No matter your beard style, any of the included guards cand provide you with the perfect length for any beard or mustache style, from scruff to full. Wahl beard trimmer for men have been used by professionals in the salon & barber industry since 1919. This seems like a pretty good beard trimmer. It seems to be solidly built. It does NOT have multiple speeds so your stuck with a high speed. I haven't had it long enough to give a report on battery life.

    • An amazing trimmer for little money.

Why I Need This: I've been shaving with Norelco electric razors for years. And while I like the way they shave, their built-in pop-up trimmer leaves something to be desired. I don't have a beard. But I do have a mustache and sideburns that need to be trimmed. It's not that that Norelco's pop-up trimmer doesn't work. But in order to get the desired results, I have to keep going over the same area multiple times. I thought to myself, if only I could find an inexpensive trimmer that would do the job quickly and easily. Tada! Wahl to the rescue! The Performance: All I can say is wow. For fifteen bucks this little trimmer is amazing. I was all set to buy something a lot more expensive. I'm glad I didn't. First of all, I don't need or want a trimmer for hair in my nose and ears (I prefer scissors and tweezers for that). Secondly, I have no use for a dozen different attachments to trim the hair on my head (my barber would kill me). And thirdly, I'm not the sort of guy who likes to manscape my manly parts, or even think of shaving off my treasure trail (look it up if I lost you). The Cutting Mechanism: Surprisingly for the money, the blade mechanism on this trimmer is not a flimsy piece of stamped metal. The base plate is thick, and it's "precision ground" per Wahl. I believe it. And unlike the crappy trimmer on my Norelco razor, this trimmer contains a lot of closely spaced teeth. The end result is that I can set the length of my sideburns and trim my mustache in about 1/3 the time. Power Requirements: This trimmer does not work or come with a cord. Nor does it have a built-in rechargeable battery. Nor does it come with any batteries at all. It uses two (2) AA batteries that you'll have to supply yourself. You can power it using regular alkaline batteries. But I already have a battery charger and a bunch of rechargeable AA batteries, so that's what I use. Warranty: The warranty on this trimmer is three years. But considering the cheap price, it may not even be worth the cost of postage to return it to Wahl if it quits working. Maintenance: This trimmer is not waterproof. Don't use it in the shower, or use water to clean it. Use the included brush to brush away unwanted hairs in the cutting mechanism. Wahl includes a little bottle of oil. You're supposed to apply a few drops to the cutting mechanism every month. Country of Origin: Unlike some Wahl products that were made in the USA, this trimmer was made in Vietnam. Closing Comments: It's inexpensive, and it works very well for my needs. This trimmer really gets the job done in an efficient and fast way, with a very smooth and consistent cut. Love the attachments--so much better design than my past trimmers. I am unsure of how good the battery life is, but it takes 2 double A's, which is something I prefer over an internal battery that must be charged over and over again, diminishing its longevity. Let's face it - grooming can be a hassle. That's why finding the right tool for the job is so important. And while this groomer is pretty great overall, there are a few things you should know before you buy. First off, the design is sleek and ergonomic, making it easy to hold and maneuver. And the blades are sharp and precise, which is great for getting those hard-to-reach areas. Plus, it's easy to clean and maintain, which is always a bonus. However, the one downside is that it could use a bit more power. I have light facial hair, so it's not an issue for me, but I can see how it might be a problem for someone with thicker hair. So if you're someone who needs a lot of power to get the job done, this might not be the groomer for you. That being said, if you have lighter facial hair or just need a basic groomer for touch-ups, this one is definitely worth considering. It's affordable, reliable, and gets the job done. This is the second wahl trimmer I have purchased. The battery compartment got some moisture in it and it lost contact with the battery.but before that it worked great for several years. It cut the hair on the back of my neck great. Side burns straight. When I grew a beard, it removed it with ease. The attachments stay on. Very good product. ... show more

I was a little skeptical about this inexpensive trimmer given the negative reviews but I am perfectly satisfied with it. It's a little noisy but not too bad and I like the fact that you can replace the batteries (it uses two AA batteries). I experienced no snagging pulling or cutting with the trimmer. It's comfortable to hold and it feels solid enough. I like that the switch is on the side right under your thumb for easy control. Great little trimmer for the price.
