  • Beyond expectations!
I was paying $4 for a “single” “espresso”. I have being watching this product for years but probably never had a real reason to buy it until now. It’s a few months now, I always have it in my handbag, I bought some Italian espresso capsules that I live at work and a thermos that holds boiling water for 48hrs XD I just love it so much! It’s easy to use and not hard to press the put(make sure to remove the little cardboard when you buy it because otherwise it will be super hard 😅). I hope in future there will be an accessory for powder coffee so that I can use my Lavazza, except for that: leave your doubts out the door and go for it! ... show more

  • This is genius! Get it!
As an espresso lover, I used to struggle on work trips to Eastern Europe and Africa because I couldn't find a decent shot to save my life (they drink real coffee there.) So, I went on a quest for the perfect portable espresso machine, small, practical, without lots of parts, and one that takes espresso pods.... and luckily I stumbled upon this one! At first, I was on the hunt for an electric espresso maker, but the price tag was unjustifiable. Plus, the size of some of those contraptions was going to take some real estate in my luggage. So, I settled for this cute little manual machine, even though the thought of pumping it 20 times for one tiny shot didn't exactly make me want to do a happy dance. But, let me tell you, this little one packs a punch! The entire process from boiling the water to pumping out a perfectly extracted shot takes less than 3 minutes. Sure, I have to do a bit of arm work to get my caffeine fix, but its not as horrid as I imagined (memories of manual orange juicers when I had to squeeze 3 oranges to get half a cup). And, there's something oddly satisfying about making my own espresso without having to rely on electric machines. I also own a Nespresso Creatista machine, which has more features than I know what to do with. So, it's refreshing to use a simpler device that performs just as well. Plus, I can use my espresso pods with this portable device. Most other portable machines, including the original of this one, do not have espresso pods feature or would require you to buy an attachment. I really dont use coffee grounds and dont want to make a mess of this when I am traveling or worry too much about cleaning, so the espresso pod was perfect for me! I also ordered an electric kettle that works worldwide for tea but it will also pair greatly with this Minipresso on the go without worrying about finding hot water. Finally, this was easy to figure out without reading the manual. That was great. And, major props to the creators for providing a manual in multiple languages. Even though I didn't need it, it's always nice to have the option. I am sure I am going to be using this now everywhere I go as it fits nicely in my purse. The only negative issue I found is the cup attached to it. I dont know if it's BPA free, but even if it is, BPA free cups become affected when they are heated. I wish it was a stainless steel cover instead. Overall, I highly recommend this Minpresso. It does not compromise on taste or quality. Easy to use and really practical. I am a happy customer. ... show more

  • Travel size nespresso😍
Very handy, easy to clean, easy to use, super light and works great for my morning espresso!

  • Fickle
Not all Nespresso classic compatible pods work (Wacaco does say this), and for the ones that do, there is a slight learning curve to get this to build pressure like it is supposed to.

  • Seriously Good
I'm not a coffee connoisseur so take this with a grain of salt. I wanted a portable way to make good coffee (work coffee sucks) so I chose the Nespresso pods version of the minipresso. I don't drink a ton of coffee so having the pods is great. I don't have to buy coffee beans and not drink it soon enough and it goes stale. I have used this a bunch of times so far including on a camping trip which is where it truly shines. If this is your situation, and you don't want to spend a lot on an espresso maker just try it, you won't be disappointed. Pods aren't too expensive, and I recycle the metal from them. ... show more

  • Makes a great cup of coffee!
This is a good product. Easy to use, super portable. My only complaint is that when opening after use it can require a good deal of strenuous twisting to open the end with the pod. The coffee it makes is good.

  • Simple, easy, quick cleanup. (Great for backpacking)
Information helpful for camping/backpacking and home use: I tested several similar options. This design is perfect for backpacking with a high caffeine-to-pack weight ratio! Extremely compact/lightweight (my scale showed it to weigh 10.6 grams) and extremely convenient with easy cleanup (literally run a little water over it, and you’re good. NO GROUNDS TO CLEANUP!). The hotter your water (close to 200 degrees F) is, the better the extraction. My tests produced a nice crema with great flavor, followed by a boost in energy! A couple of pods, and I’m set for my morning caffeine needs. If you want more of a “drink,” boil more water and mix it with the espresso for a backcountry Americano. If you want a unit that works with the original Nespresso pods and coffee grounds, look at the Nanopresso by Wacaco and get the Nanopresso NS Adapter. It’s only 3-4 ounces more packed weight and a couple of inches larger in your pack. Something I’d like to see is a unit about this size with metal internals. The food-grade plastic internals tends to shed heat faster, so I recommend getting right to it after pouring your boiling water for a hot extraction for the best result. Stay caffeinated, friends. ... show more
