  • Quick and inexpensive way to set tire location after rotation
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
This little device worked exactly as expected, and got the job done quickly. 1. Read the owner's manual for my car, the section under "Tires". 2. Entered the tire pressure sensor relearn setting on my car. 3. Placed the relearn tool against the tire, by the valve stem, starting with the driver's side front tire. 4. Pressed the button on the relearn tool, my car horn honked one time. 5. Preceded to the remaining tires, pressing the tool button by each tire, the car honks once for each tire. 6. After the last tire, the car horn honks twice. 7. Checked each tire to ensure they were correct, they indeed were correct. 8. The entire process took less than 5 minutes from start to finish. I judge this tool to be a worthy purchase! ... show more

  • This tool DOES work if you use it properly (2014 Nissan Versa Note)
Size: GM Style: Plastic Cover
Okay first: don’t believe any of the negative reviews. This tool does work, the problem is a lot of people aren’t using it the right way. They think you can just use this tool by itself and it’s gonna fix the TPMS problems. Wrong. You have to be able to put your car into the TPMS Relearn mode for it to work. Some cars have a way to do this through the menus on the dash or by holding a button. Many cars will require a professional scan tool plugged into the OBD port so you can access the module in the car that’s responsible for TPMS features. A regular code reader isn’t going to cut it. The car we used this on was my mom’s 2014 Nissan Versa Note. There was no TPMS relearn button and nothing in the menus. What I did was plugged in my Autel MK808-BT pro tablet, went to Hot Functions > TPMS > ID registration and pressed Start/OK, then I could see the TPMS logo blinking on the dash, went to each tire and pressed the button on this tool, and one by one it said “Done” for each sensor until at the top it said completed. You’ll see the left or right blinker light up on the dash as each one is relearned to the car. Afterwards, all the TPMS sensors worked fine, showed my pressure in the Live Data settings, and the TPMS light wasn’t on the dash anymore. Here’s some tips: buy a brand new 9V battery, don’t use a used one laying around your house. I bought the Energizer LITHIUM 9V battery because Lithium batteries are the best you can get and they put out full power for longer than alkaline batteries. When I tried the tool with a 9V battery from one of my Multimeters, I couldn’t get the functions to work. It needs full power to reach the sensors inside the tires. Get the Lithium battery or order one online to arrive with the tool if you can’t find one locally. If you don’t buy the lithium style, at bare minimum get a name brand like Duracell or Energizer for the best results. I pointed the little antenna at the valve stem and held it about 2-3 inches away and it worked like a charm. You might need to try different positions, but read the manual and follow the instructions for Pete’s sake. This $9 tool (coupled with my diagnostics scanner) saved us probably $100 having a tire shop do the same thing. Honestly when I bought this tool I expected it to be a roll of the dice and probably not work. I was wrong. As soon as I followed the instructions and used a new battery, it worked instantly. If you can’t get your car into TPMS relearn mode, this probably isn’t gonna work for you. ... show more

  • VXDAS GL50448 TPMS
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I Change my own oil and rotate the tires at the same time. Rotating the tires requires this process to be done each time, if the vehicle has the TPMS option. The vehicle will not re-set the system by itself. Both of our vehicles have this option. I took my wife's vehicle to a local tire shop after I rotated the tires. The shop wanted $50.00 to do the re-set. Plus they wanted me to leave the vehicle. At that point buying this tool was a no-brainer. The first time you do it, you have to read both the instructions for the tool and your owner's manual to get into the TPMS setting on the vehicle. Easy enough to do. Just look under tires in the back of the manual, then TPMS re-set. This process works better with two people, one behind the wheel, and one using the tool to re-set each tire. However, you can do it yourself. Once we were in the correct settings on the vehicle, you walk around the vehicle placing the tool next to each valve stem and listen for the horn to beep, then move to the next tire. I had no issues with where to place the antenna on the tire, right next to the valve stem worked great. There is a specific order you have to follow in regards which tire you start with. Both the instructions and your vehicle manual will give you this information. Once you re-set all four tires , the horn beeps twice to let you know you did it right. The whole project took about 20 minutes for the first time, including reading the manual and instructions. Great tool and a money saver for those DIY. ... show more

  • Worked on 2020 GM product
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
This device worked to reset TPMS on a 2020 GM vehicle. It does not come with the required 9 volt battery. The battery fit loosely and caused the device to be intermittent. Placing a small piece of foam rubber under the bottom of the battery fixed that issue. After that, the device worked well. The car was first placed in maintenance mode. The antenna tip of the device had to be placed at the base of the air valve stem and held there continuously. The activation button is then pressed. A green light flashed for about 10 seconds, then the car horn beeped to signal the TPMS was reset for that tire. The process is then repeated on the other tires. The sequence must be performed in the order: Driver's side front, Passenger side front, Passenger side rear, Driver's side rear. Placement of the antenna tip at the base of the valve stem is critical or it will not work. After learning that, the device worked well. ... show more

  • Works as described.
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I just got around to using this device. Now I will use it immediately if there is a next time. Tired of reminding myself to think opposite when checking the tire pressure monitor on my 2018 Silverado 2500 HD. The dealer must have overlooked resetting the TPS sensors on the last rotation. Anyway, worked great. Followed the various review procedures and within maybe 1 minute starting with the left front tire in training mode ignition on, all sensors reset, the horn sounded twice and now front is front and rear is actually rear pressure on the monitor readout. Perfect! ... show more
