  • VXDAS GL50448 TPMS
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I Change my own oil and rotate the tires at the same time. Rotating the tires requires this process to be done each time, if the vehicle has the TPMS option. The vehicle will not re-set the system by itself. Both of our vehicles have this option. I took my wife's vehicle to a local tire shop after I rotated the tires. The shop wanted $50.00 to do the re-set. Plus they wanted me to leave the vehicle. At that point buying this tool was a no-brainer. The first time you do it, you have to read both the instructions for the tool and your owner's manual to get into the TPMS setting on the vehicle. Easy enough to do. Just look under tires in the back of the manual, then TPMS re-set. This process works better with two people, one behind the wheel, and one using the tool to re-set each tire. However, you can do it yourself. Once we were in the correct settings on the vehicle, you walk around the vehicle placing the tool next to each valve stem and listen for the horn to beep, then move to the next tire. I had no issues with where to place the antenna on the tire, right next to the valve stem worked great. There is a specific order you have to follow in regards which tire you start with. Both the instructions and your vehicle manual will give you this information. Once you re-set all four tires , the horn beeps twice to let you know you did it right. The whole project took about 20 minutes for the first time, including reading the manual and instructions. Great tool and a money saver for those DIY. ... show more

  • Worked on my 2014 Caprice
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
Work perfectly on my 2014 Caprice PPV after changing a TPMS sensor in one of the wheels. Also worked well for switching tire positions after getting a rotation. Would recommend 💯 %.

  • I was dreading having to do this, but it was so easy and only took about a minute or two!
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I have always loathed TPMS systems due to the added cost and complexity with regard to doing my own tire rotations and having multiple sets of wheels and tires for all my vehicles. Now that I finally own a newer vehicle, it's something I'll just have to deal with. I just rotated the tires for the first time and bought this to reset the positions. I read the GM Owners manual, entered the TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE mode, followed the sequence as described in the manual (clockwise, starting with LF tire) and pressed the transmit button while holding the tool's antenna right near the tire bead at each of the four locations. The horn chirped within a couple seconds at each location, confirming I was doing it correctly. As the subject states, this only took a minute, maybe two at most, and it was done. For $10, I'm extremely happy as I would have been willing to pay a much higher price to avoid the wasted time of having this done at a tire shop. ... show more

  • Worked on 2020 GM product
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
This device worked to reset TPMS on a 2020 GM vehicle. It does not come with the required 9 volt battery. The battery fit loosely and caused the device to be intermittent. Placing a small piece of foam rubber under the bottom of the battery fixed that issue. After that, the device worked well. The car was first placed in maintenance mode. The antenna tip of the device had to be placed at the base of the air valve stem and held there continuously. The activation button is then pressed. A green light flashed for about 10 seconds, then the car horn beeped to signal the TPMS was reset for that tire. The process is then repeated on the other tires. The sequence must be performed in the order: Driver's side front, Passenger side front, Passenger side rear, Driver's side rear. Placement of the antenna tip at the base of the valve stem is critical or it will not work. After learning that, the device worked well. ... show more

  • Worked easily and much quicker
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I rotate my tires on my two GMC's. Using the vehicle method is painfully tedious! Air up the tires, push some buttons, wait for a beep, then you gotta air them up again! Yikes, I hate that! This tool made it so easy! I folliwed directions and done in a matter of 3 minutes!

  • Easy peasy, lemon squeezy
Size: GM Style: Silicone Cover
I found that I had a TPMS issue, the rear tires were flipped as far as the dash display was concerned. Ordered this on Monday, it arrived this afternoon, and all fixed! When it says to use a fresh battery, they mean it. My first battery failed, and I measured it after I removed it and it was at ~7 volts. Found a newer true 9 volt battery and it worked like a charm. Good to to have when you have your tires rotated and they want to charge you $50 or more for a 30 second job with a tool that has been paid off 1000 times over. The tire game is now pretty much highway robbery with all the extras we pay. I had to buy a tire for my old vehicle and it was 80 bucks. After all the add ons, and this vehicle didn't have the TPMS system, it was $200 out the door! Disposal fees, install fees, warranty, road hazard insurance, blah blah blah. ... show more

  • This worked flawlessly and was very easy to use.

I used this tool with some newly installed sensors on my 2008 Chevy Express 1500. There was no problem programming the new sensors and saved myself, and will save myself in the future, lots of time and money by doing this step myself. Great value!
