I added these to my UpLift V2 desk after seeing the cost of the casters that UpLift offers (~$100). I did a little research and found that UpLift's HD casters are an M8-1.25x15mm thread and just matched it up to these. When you go to screw them into the desk keep the wheel in the locked position and it will also lock the swivel making it a tool-free install where you can use the wheel for leverage to snug them into place. ... show more

    • A breeze to install and start using
The wheels were a quick install since the measurements in the description matched the ones listed for the standing desk. The only issue was one of the nuts was missing when it arrived, but I had a spare in the toolbox, so it wasn't too big of a deal. It rides smoothly across the floor.

    • True Locking Caster
So I was a little miffed because it didn't come with a slim wrench to tighten the caster because the nut is only half accessible. But then I realized that when you lock it, both the wheel and stem are locked, so you can tighten it up by using the caster as a wrench. Every other locking wheel I ever had only locked the wheel. This also gives you a lot more stability when the wheels are locked, as there is no movement. They definitely should include that in the description, because it's a major plus in my opinion. Imam using it on a rolling stand up computer desk. It’s sturdy, easy to maneuver and locks work excellent. Would be 5 stars if it was not noisy.

    • Not as robust as I hoped
The locks work well. The wheels themselves are solid. But when locked and any force applied laterally, these have a tendency to bow. They're not as strong as I would have hoped. Next, there's not any tool included for installation. Usually when you buy something with casters, there's a special tool for installation that locks the wheel's rotation while you screw it in. These have no such tool. making installation more difficult. Finally, these came with permanent indentations from the locks. It's just shy of having a flat spot on the wheel - enough that you hear it as you roll. I'm not impressed. ... show more
