Like what other reviews had stated, this vinyl scratches incredibly easy, does not release air pockets well or at all, and found it not so user friendly as it doesn't conform easily to the applied shape of an object, in this case the tailgate of a 3rd gen Tacoma. I prepped the surface accordingly (hand car wash, dried with clean microfiber towels, 70% alcohol, dried again) and for a large piece rather simple in shape, it was a struggle. Being very dissatisfied with the vinyl and its difficult application, I removed it and used another brand wrap I had called Oracal. It's not completely apples to apples as the Oracal wrap was in gloss black as compared to this VViViD satin black, but the Oracal conformed and released air pockets as many would expect from a name brand vinyl wrap. I completed the job with Oracal with relative ease. I was real disappointed in this vvivid product as I really liked their satin black color appearance. I'm by no means a highly skilled vinyl wrapper, but I've done multiple wrap projects using 3m, Avery, oracal, and a few no names, and none had ever behaved like vvivid did. Time & money wasted. May just be a poor quality batch I received or a lack of understanding how to apply this brand's product. I'll be staying away from vvivid wraps from here on out. ... show more

Incredible product that exceeded my expectations and simply blew my mind when my fiancé completed the installation. SHE worked on this for 2 weeks and did a fabulous job considering SHE has no prior experience with Vinyl wraps. REQUIRES TONS OF PATIENCE (....buy the install kit)

I bought this after someone's recommendation on youtube. It should have been a half-hour' ish task but took 7 hours to finish it. Working with this wrap was very frustrating. I had to heat gun frequently. Pros: - Durable - Very forgiving, can be removed and re-applied Cons: - Air release was not that great, it traped a lot of air bubbles - Very crease prone and hard to squeegee - Gets scratched easily ... show more

This wrap is strong, has good tack, gets air out pretty well, and doesn’t lose color easy. I’m not going to say it was easy to install but it wasn’t hard either. It took many hours on YouTube to see what to do and how to do it and even then it still was a little difficult to do. Take your time with this wrap and you will be happy. ... show more

Looks great at a distance but up close there are a couple air bubbles that appeared after sitting in the hot sun. If you’ve never wrapped anything before like myself I’d recommend a spray wrap.

very easy to work with, nice and pliable and easy to comb out any bubbles that may occur while working with it. I did not need to use heat whatsoever but depending on your application you might to get around corners and whatnot.

Had difficulty applying. My felt squeegee left fine scratch marks in the surface that would not come out. A little disappointed as I haven’t had this happen with other wraps.

Good company/ brand. You definitely need some practice to install a full vinyl wrap on a car door, bumper etc. I've recieved mine damaged but I cantaced vvivid support and their customer service tech (Jessica) helped me in shipping out a whole new roll. That's how you know a compnah stands behind there product! IF you can, install in room temp for best results, not to cold because the wrap will be too stiff and not to hot because as soon as the vinyl touches the surface you're wrapping it will stick because the adhesive is already hot. ... show more
