  • I didn’t use it on a car, but on my drum set!
Size: 2ft x 5ft Color: Gloss Miami Teal
I used this to wrap my drum set! I left the original wrap on and just put this over it. After I got the hang of it is it was very easy to wrap and when I did mess up it was easy to fix. Very forgiving. I love the color! I will purchase more when I have time to change the color again. Looks like a brand new set! ... show more

I use this item to cover the chrome on the top of my motorcycle forks. It worked perfectly.

  • Learning curve
Size: 6ft x 5ft Color: Matte Miami Teal
Only giving 4 stars. This was my first time using vivid wrap, I have always used 3m. Some of the wrap was damaged when a received it, only the outer one or two layers of the roll, but still frustrating. I ordered 3 rolls, two of the Miami teal, and one matte black to redo some of the matte black already on my car while replacing some with teal. I thought I was ordering the gloss teal, however I got the matte teal. I went back and looked and it says I ordered the matte, even though I remember clicking the gloss teal. Kind of bummed and not sure how that happened, but it is what it is. The Miami teal is much harder to work with than the matte black as it’s thicker. It’s also harder to work with than the 3m wraps because it’s thicker and doesn’t seem to stretch the same. All in all I don’t regret my purchase, however I’ll definitely be keeping these things in mind before ordering wraps again and choosing if I go with vivid or 3m. For the price, it isn’t bad wrap though. Just keep in mind it is harder to work with than 3m wrap, and make sure you have a good heat gun to help with stretching and molding the wrap to the car without air pockets/bubbles. I will also say so far it has seemed to hold up well, however it hasn’t even been a month yet either so time will tell. The matte black also has more of a gray appearance than the 3m matte black. So you can tell if you previously had 3m on your car and planned to use vivid to replace a few panels of the wrap. Also for note, the 3m wrap on my car lasted over 10 years with minimal issues (ex husband backed into a pole with my car and damaged the wrap in a few spots). So I have pretty high standards for wrap. Also don’t forget to order the 3m vinyl wrap edge tape if you want the wrap to stay on and last without peeling off! I didn’t see any for sale by vivid on here so I went with 3m again on that. Again, still not bad for the price even if it only ends up lasting a year or two. (Will update if I have issues with the wrap later). If you’ve never wrapped a car before, make sure you have the right tools too, it will make all the difference in how your wrap job turns out. I felt the need to write this review because my shop had only ever worked with 3m wrap, but since I’m currently home pregnant, I decided to look at other options to redo my car at home by myself. Also- heads up! Matte Miami teal, has sparkles in it. Which I think is odd since it’s a matte wrap. Picture is of my car after wrapping the hood with matte Miami teal (yes it needs washed badly) the sparkles in the matte make it look funky and almost a different color. ... show more

  • Wrap is really ... really ... REALLY Good ...
Size: 6ft x 5ft Color: Black
Wrap is really ... really ... REALLY Good ... however ... My wrapping skills suck - everything that could "possibly" go wrong did & it's TOTALLY my fault - thus Do Not Blame this Wrap if your project doesn't turn out. I wrapped two different coffee tumblers years ago - I wrapped a Starbucks tumbler 5 years ago using the first gen VViViD wrap & it's held up perfectly - I can throw the tumbler into the dishwasher & have so several times & the wrap hasn't warped / thinned etc - so I know VViVid make a very good wrap. The second tumbler I did about 3 years ago - it's a YETI - same results flawless & the wrap has stood the test of time. This time however - I messed up big time - this project was re-wrapping the hood of my 2024 Honda Civic. The first wrap I just bought of e & it went on "ok" never could get all the creases out & the nail in the coffin was on a seam that wouldn't bond & after a month of trying everything - I had to take it up. Replacing it with the VViViD+ - I "did" have high hopes - until I starting working with the wrap - it's WAY heavier then the other no name wrap I bought & it's WAY stickier then I had expected - once it makes contact with the bond service - it's not going to easily be brought back up - result - WAY more waves I could have possibly imagined & creases - oh good lord the creases - again - totally my fault - I had "presumed" it was the same stick properties of the first wrap which did allow me to uplift & stretch the wrap - sadly - not the VViViD+. The final blow to my mess of a job was the trimming part - I over trimmed in some areas & under trimmed in other. NOT Blaming the Wrap - I'm just a average joe with average skills when it comes to this type of work. In "hind" sight - what probably would have worked WAY better was MORE preplanning & using a lubricant made of dish soap & distilled water - as I've used in the past when applying large decals & stripes to other vehicles I've owned in the past ... sigh ... live & let learn ... Bottom line & in closing ... VViViD make REALLY great products - just over think your project - pre trim your work & then be prepared to use a lubricant - especially if you want to be able to slide your work around on a large surface. Ordering another roll sothat I can: a) do MORE preplanning b) pre cut my wrap sothat it'll fit the hood better & c) I'll be using a lubricant this time to be able to move my piece around be able to work the surface before it sticks & lastly ... d) COMPLETELY wait sothat the wrap is dry & set BEFORE I trim ... ... show more

  • Not as good as 3M
Size: 3ft x 5ft Color: Matte Black
I am very new to vinyl wrap, so take this with a grain of salt. However, I found Vivid compared to 3M to each have their pros/cons. My biggest issue is adhesion. It's far less tacky than anything I've come across, the only thing it likes to stick to is itself. Even some Vivid lighting tint was more sticky than this stuff... What I like: - Decent price, shipped fast, received in good shape with minimal damage - Satin black seems like a good compromise between glossy and dead flat, making it flat but not so easy to pick up marks - Stretches really nicely with heat, but makes it easy to over do it - Decent thickness What I don't like: - Little adhesion out of the box, disappointing amount after post heat - Even with post heat areas of tension creep and won't stick like 3M does (no glue or edge treatment used on either) - Doesn't snap back like 3M does making the vacuum forming effect hard to achieve - It goes very soft as it "heals" and often marks are hard to heat out - Poor cold stretching making you rely more on heat 3M works and this stuff might too, but I am still very new to this and don't have the time to figure out what will make this wrap last. It's worth a try, maybe flat surfaces are where this stuff excels. I am wrapping complicated chrome pieces and this stuff is just not working for me. ... show more
