Update: So after leaving my original 1 star review Vivid reached out to me asking for more details, they think it was may be a picking mistake. Regardless of the issue they offered to replace it or refund it. No BS, just how can we make it right? This is a company that makes quality products and stands behind it. I miss the days when this was normal. But since I already love their product and now I know I can trust that if it's not right they will fix it, I have no problem recommending them and giving them 5 stars. Original review: The color change is only on the adhesive side. I love Vivid vynal wrap and used to use it all the time. I bought this to repair a table top. I was hoping it would have a touch of red or burgundy to go with the rooms black and burgundy decor. I noticed it was only black when I was inspecting the roll, but I was hoping maybe once I got it open and stretched it would look right. Then as I was stretching it over the table I noticed the adhesive side looked awesome. So I kept going thinking maybe it would show through once it was on and I looked at different angles. Nope, nothing but black at all angles and all lighting. Not sure if it's a manufacturing error or design error. But it's crap. should have just got a textured black or something.     • Awesome wrap in the sun

I did a full body wrap on my dodge challenger in this color, and the color shift is amazing. It is very hard to tell what the color of the car is at any given time when the sun is out, however when it is not sunny it just looks black. Originally I loved that about it but now I am getting a little bored of it. But don’t let that steer you away from this wrap if you live in an area that gets tons of sun. I live in the northeast and sun is a luxury we get only 3-5 months out of the year, thus I am going to re-wrap my car in a new color, probably ultra gloss candy apple red. That being said vivid is a great company and the adhesion is great on this I’m not sure what other reviewers were mentioning but prep the surface well and it sticks that all that matters. Other then that it’s durable and the suggested life is around 5 years according to vivid, mine has been on for around a year now and everything is still perfect. I do recommend a vinyl specific ceramic coating to go on top to increase your lifespan. But regardless it’s a very good wrap and if it can wrap the corners which are a 9/10 difficulty on a challenger bumper then it can handle pretty much any other car. Used some of the Demon Black in gloss to wrap my miata. The color needs to be in direct sun to get the color of the red. It looks black with a hair bit of red when you're not in direct sunlight. This is my first time wrapping and it is extremely tacky so I highly recommend having someone there to help glass out the piece you are wrapping. ... show more

I bought the vinyl to wrap a Guitar for a project and it looks awesome. You must take your time and clean the surface extremely well. I haven't actually finished installing it on my guitar yet so I'm going to see what a little heat does to get around the tight radii on parts of the guitar. I cant mention enough times to clean the surface very well and take your time. No one is a pro with using vinyl the first time, so try some test pieces first. ... show more

I've put on the demon black flat. Can see no red, not in full sun or any angle. It's just flat black with what occasionally looks like metal sparkle in the vinyl. Material was good and forgiving though. Easy to apply. Just wish it had some red tint to it.

I took a photo without the rest of the bike wrapped, the bike is pure gloss black. It is not a black wrap, it is very dark but the hint of red I wanted is definitely there. Love the color.

Don’t waste your money on VVivid vinyl it has poor adhesion and shrinks a lot overtime. I have brought there product a couple times for two different vehicles and found every time it doesn’t stick well and end up removing. Never had a problem with 3M vinyl. My dad had also used there product and has had the same issue and also lots of shrinking over time that chrome trim that was wrapped is starting to show more and more. Safe yourself money and just go 3M. They also want you to fill out miles of questions to get any kind of warranty out of them ... show more

The color makes this definitely worth it! Not as glossy as you’d think, dark with no light and when it does hit the sun it looks amazing and darkish maroon in my opinion definitely worth the money! Will post photos after wrap completion.
