  • This XPO line should be installed in a 65 and 72 degrees (F) heated area to avoid tearing or premature activation of the adhesive. Adhesive is best suited for gloss or painted surfaces. XPO will feel less tacky than other films to enable it's repositioning technology. For added tack, simply heat the film and press into place, this will cause adhesive to build tack up to 4x. This is for the matte black vinyl, the blue/purple chameleon vinyl is the vinyl Frog brand. It was pretty pliable before adding heat so it was easier to work with than the other vinyls I had used but it was far less forgiving than any other, as well. Just a smidge too much heat left me with a satin-almost glossy finish. It also seemed to scuff easier (callouses on my hands ruined a couple spots) so make sure your hands/cotton gloves/felt tips on tools, etc are extremely clean before getting it within a yard of your project. The vinyl itself was nice to work with. It cut easily, handled well and stretched nicely. There are some imperfections in the pieces that I wrapped but that's from my inexperience and not the vinyl. This is my first real wrapping project and I've used 3 different brands of vinyl. My motorcycle isn't done yet so I can't post a finished picture yet. ... show more

I used this stuff to wrap the front of a portable AC unit. All of the furniture in my basement is black or with a wood grain pattern so the white AC was really out of place, it was practically glowing. I should preface this review by mentioning that I have never wrapped anything before. A while back I considered wrapping my laptop but with the way I'm so particular about very small details I always felt like the wrapping process would drive me crazy and I would never be happy with the end result. This AC project didn't require nearly as much precision as wrapping a laptop so I was willing to give it a try. The end result was pretty good. I ended up with a few creases toward the bottom around the left hand edge but it's virtually impossible to see that. I was mainly concerned with getting the front of the unit a smooth matte black. Mission accomplished. This wrap was fairly easy to work with. I was able to pull it off and re-apply it over and over as I worked my way down from top to bottom. I didn't have a squeegee or whatever other tools you're supposed to use, instead applying it by hand all the way down. I didn't use any heat at all either. On the bottom I had about a half inch of fold under so I used some electrical tape to secure the bottom edge. I'm not sure how well it will hold up but since it will be inside I think it ought to be fine. If it starts peeling off I'll have plenty more to try it all again. Final notes: - Dimensions: I dunno what dimension is supposed to be 2 feet, but this roll was absolutely not 2 feet in either dimension. I haven't completely unfurled it but I'm assuming that's the 5 foot dimension. The roll I received is 3 feet tall. So I'm pretty sure I received a 3'x5' product. This worked out ok but I was counting on the 2' roll as I would have only had to cut out my piece in one direction rather than trim it in two directions. - Packing: the outer packaging was a sturdy cardboard box with some paper which offered ample protection during shipping. However, there were two very annoying pieces of tape used to keep it from unfurling in its packaging. This tape left a slight oily sheen on the matte surface which I didn't realize until after I had cut the piece to size and applied it. I was able to "buff out" the oily sheen with a dry rag. ... show more

The wrap is pretty cool in quality and it’s fairly easy to install. I am new at wrapping so obviously there are going to be issues along the way however it still looks very good one applied. My only complaint is that there ended up being some kind of factory error on wrap and I had to cut a full panels worth off, I have alot extra so to me it’s not a huge issue but for other people this could be a no factor. ... show more

This stuff is amazing! Added this to Vvivid Grey carbon vinyl and was much easier to use around compound curves. It does show lack of experience due to over-stretching (gets a bit shiny) but it helped finish the job out. Will definitely be doing more to get better at it, just don't know how soon I will do harley fenders and tanks! ... show more

Material Thickness was inconsistent some parts of roll was thin and other parts was thick. Adhesive was inconsistent as well some parts would tack correctly others parts of roll hardly had any tack to it. Using heat to activate adhesive or to stretch vinyl was a challenge areas that was to thin would just turn to garbage thicker areas you had to apply little closer heat to anything you wanted. As inconsistent as this vinyl was I wonder if the roll I got was part of the 1st section of vinyl manufactured or the tail end of the manufacturing process. Anyone thinking of using this vinyl may be best to buy more than you need. Corners and some body lines may give you issue with this vinyl make sure to give your self extra. ... show more
