writing this review from only my 24 hr experience with this lift chair meaning not being influenced by other reviews, i will stand by the 4 star over all review and rate it as a success! it is a heavy chair, yet it is not as "big" as it looks in the pics. being blessed at the height of 5'2" and approximately 180 lbs., this chair is a perfect fit for me. my youngest son is 6'1", 230 and it's a big snug. the weight limit says 350 lbs., i wouldn't trust it. the assembly would've been easy enough for me had the back rail on the right side was not off set. an adjustment was made and it slid into place, yet i will be careful in the movement of the chair from grabbing it from the back. firm....firm is the word i will use in description of the padding on both seat and back. the massage levels of low and high do not again give an accurrate description of the power of the vibration. at least i will say this about my particular chair. denture adhesive i would recommend if high speed is used. it did take sometime for the heat to get to heat and not just warm, but then i only turned it on to test it and it was 77 degrees here today. the lift of the chair is excellent. when fully lifted, it would've slid me right down to the floor had it not been for having my flip flops with hiking tread on them stoppin me from hitting the floor. in other words....it works. this would not be the chair i would purchase for a person larger than my own self. although i did check the measurments before purchase, it just looks like it would be a much larger chair, yet i am 4 star satisfied. the end ... show more

Bought this chair for my mother who has difficulty getting in and out of her seat/ chair. She loves it. Said it was the most comfortable chair she's Sat in in a long time. Loves how it lifts her up to standing position. Could have asked for a better chair.

SORRY FOR THE LONG COMMENT. PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH. HOPEFULLY THIS WILL PREVENT SOMEONE FROM GOING THROUGH THE AGGRAVATION AND LOSS OF MONEY AND TIME. 3(THREE) WEEKS AFTER I GOT THE CHAIR FELL APART!!! I called Amazon and got an outsourced CSR and he verified that I had insurance to cover the chair. I requested a full refund. Within less than 2 hours I got a reply from the seller. They said they usually give a full refund, but not this time. Here’s what they offered me: I could throw it out OR I could ship it back at my own expense (promised they would not resell it to anyone). If shipped it back at my own expense (over $100) in addition to my paying a delivery charge ($84) they would compensate me with $20!!! I wrote back and told them that I would NOT accept $20, that I was within the refund window and wanted my money back because the chair is defective. I never heard back from the seller. I called Amazon and they said the seller never heard back from me. I filed a complaint with Amazon who said I should have a resolution within 48 hours. That was a lie!!! I called Amazon several times but nothing was put on file and had no record of my calls. I called Amazon almost 2 weeks ago and got the song and dance: Go through the proper channels; waiting 48 hours to hear from the seller…yaddi,yaddi,yada blah blah blah…never heard a word from the seller. Not surprised. Oh, and when I asked about the insurance I paid for, someone changed my information to remove the insurance all together!!! (Wondering if that’s a scam???) I would never made this purchase without purchasing the insurance. All of this was handled by Amazon outsourced CSR who totally refused to transfer me to a representative in the USA which is against the law. Defects: Not enough padding in right arm rest, seat and foot rest. Metal from the massage comes up and can feel the pressure which has caused swelling and bruises in my legs that wasn’t there before buying this chair. The combination of the metal massage sensors in the seat and the chair coming apart on the right side arm and left side of the head rest/back (see photos) and lack of stability (chair wobbles) has caused hip problems that are at the least needs physical therapy and at the worst surgery!!! As of a week ago the lift stopped working properly. This is the only chair I can sit in and (used) get up from so now I am stuck in my motion bed and need assistance getting up. Other answers said you can raise the seat with a second remote control. I didn’t get a second remote to raise up and even though I was supposed to come with cup holders (see pictures of the chair on Amazon) which was part of the reason why I chose this chair there wasn’t cup holders in my chair. ... show more
