First, the color is not dark navy as the picture shows, it’s more of a royal blue which doesn’t match with some of my other pieces. Next, I always wear a small but ordered a medium based on reviews and it fits perfectly and has a slim shape but not skin tight like some of the reviews show. I can out a long sleeve layer under it. I love this jacket! I wore it for the first time to my doctor's appt. and my doctor mentioned that it appears that I've lost weight. According to her charts, I've only lost a few pounds since my last visit. But then my doctor says, "maybe it's your clothing that makes you appear smaller." So since this was my first wearing the jacket, I believe it was my new jacket that made me look smaller. Now, it's not drastic difference but when I got I did notice that kind of helps define a smaller waist line, which is a plus to me! I normally wear size medium but I buy large in my jackets for extra space. However, I brought a X-Large in this jacket and it still fits perfect. I ordered this in a medium so that it would not be tight and it was so snug that it fit like an XS/S. I liked the fabric but I have never had to order a large in my life and am not inclined to now.
