I really wanted to like this case but unfortunately it was a massive let down. But first I will start off with its good points, the case does offer good amount of protection and has a nice design with a mix of a plastic and rubber/tpu/silicone feel so as not to feel too cheap but also not look too boring at the same time. But that's where the good points end. The hinge cover from day 1 never closed properly and now not even a week it even with me pushing it down it literally pops back up and will not close at all. (Mind you I haven't even dropped it yet) On top of that, although it was hard to get it to show up in a picture I can already see some slight scratching to the actual hinge of the phone from the plastic and other pieces they have exposed on the inside of the hinge design. And if that's not enough the top half of the case wants to constantly slide off the phone every time you open it. All in all the only reason I didn't give it a 1 star is because I'd like to think that maybe I just received a faulty unit but even then I have to wonder what kind of quality control they have going on as I'm definitely not the only negative review with similar complaints and when you are buying a product for the sole purpose of protecting a thousand plus dollar phone, quality control is an extremely important aspect of their responsibility! ... show more

For a rugged case for the Z Flip 3, it's OK. It's the best rugged case on the market for now but there are some room for big improvement. I am mad that there is a belt clip available for this case BUT it's only available as a package deal with the case and sold only on their website. I would've ordered from their website if I knew that. Plus, it's upsetting that they don't sell the belt clip separately for instances like this. Pros: -Hinge Cover -Rubber/Silcone inside, hard plastic exterior -Allows wireless charging -Raised Exterior case protects front screen Cons: -No metal plating for magnetic mount -Exterior surface is not even to attach a metal plate -Hunger cover is just attached by rubber pieces and a magnetic that scratches the hinge -Nothing to actually cover the front screen and camera -Hinge cover doesn't protect the phone from being folded backwards -Unable to purchase belt clip ... show more

I needed a case to help with the fact that this phone is not at all dustproof. I spend a lot of time in the forest and the garden. So, my pockets are full of dirt, pine needles, you name it. I don't tend to drop my phone, but I imagine that this case is excellent protection against droppage. The case makes the phone look like a Transformer. I am more into practicality than looks. So, I don't care about this, but if you don't want your phone to look like it's from Cybertron, don't buy this case. When this phone (without any case) is closed, there's a big gap between the two halves that can allow all sorts of junk in my pockets to affect the big screen. This cover greatly reduces this gaposis, but I can still see some light between the halves when it's closed. So, the inner screen is still not completely safe from dust and dirt with this case. The small cover screen and camera lenses are not at all protected by this case. Otherwise, I am confident that the hinge and rest of the phone is protected from dust by this case. Because the hinge cover is so bulky, I guess that it's incompatible with any game controllers. So, don't use the included two sided tapes, if you want to be able to take this cover off for use with a game controller--or for any other reason. I have not used the tapes, and I find that the case stays on well without them. This cover is ridiculously overpriced, but it seems to be the only one available that gives as much protection. If you need your phone for work, don't forget to claim this item as a tax deduction. ... show more

VRS has always made good quality cases right there with spigen (imo). This case is amazing far as I know the first of its kind with the hinge protection. I have the Fold 3 version and this one is just as good. It will make the phone a bit bulky but it's worth it. If you like to put your phone on your hip I found 1 pouch that works just search Z Flip 3 "Turtleback" very nice leather pouch, tight fit but closes nice and secure. Overall I can say if VRS makes new colors I'd be one to buy. If your ok with the extra bulk to protect your Flip, please look no further then this case here. If I had to nit pick 2 things I've noticed is when going from open to close the hinge cover comes back down very slow not super tight spring tension. Also when you Flip it open (quickly) it tends to not open 100% it barely comes forward but that's just nit picking. I love this case. Hope this helps!!! ... show more

For the first few days it seemed ok. I hated the hinge cover portion, as it affected the charging performance on wireless chargers when the phone was opened. The hinge portion also made it extremely difficult to find a car mount that would hold the phone when open while using maps or any app for that matter. After a week or so the rubber hinge mounts started to lose their elasticity, and the magnets wouldn't hold the hinge cover in place when folded. As far as protection of the phone, well it did that fairly well. Overall the case is cheap feeling, and the price is way to high. $20 would be to much for this case, let alone $50!!! ... show more

This is a very nice case. The individuals stating that the upper portion of the case slides off, it does. The case comes with 4 very thin user installable double sided tape. Works perfect. Yes you'll have some Ken and Karens complaining that they shouldn't need to put tape on a $1000 phone. Its a phone. Not an investment that gains value. You're going to trade this junk in eventually.
